Description
Charming half-timbered holiday home in a dreamlike, quiet location in the Northern Vosges Nature Park (parc naturel régional des Vosges du Nord). The house is situated in a quiet complex in a rural setting and offers an open view of the valley and the beautiful landscape.
The house is atmospherically and comfortably furnished.
It has a lovely, separate bedroom, a nook with guest beds, and an attic where there is also a spacious double room with two single beds. In the bathroom there is a walk-in shower, a modern wall-mounted toilet, and a large washbasin. In the cozy living room there is a flatscreen TV with satellite reception and DVD player. We have WiFi internet, which can be used free of charge by our guests. Our guests can also make free calls to landline numbers in almost all of Europe (including Germany).
The spacious kitchen is modernly equipped and has many extras. Our holiday home has a cozy terrace with beautiful furniture at the front, but also at the back, and there you can enjoy the wonderful view. You always have a place in the sun or in the shade.
The house is comfortably suitable for 4 people. More people may be possible, but not in the summer months and only on request.

Location and surroundings of object
Idyllically situated complex in the middle of the Northern Vosges Nature Park, together with the Palatinate Forest in Germany, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Endless hiking opportunities. For a few years now, there has been a treetop path nearby where you can also view the area from above.
The complex has a swimming pool (heated in spring and late summer), tennis court, and children's playground, all of which can be used freely by our guests. We are 12 KM from Wissembourg, a charming place that still enchants us. Hunspach, Betschdorf, Soufflenheim, Seebach, all beautiful Alsatian villages, are not far. The Goethe village Sessenheim is also nearby. We are 45 KM from Karlsruhe, 45 KM from Baden-Baden, and 55 KM from Strasbourg. Colmar, Riquewihr, Obernai, the Haut Koenigsbourg, and Mont Sainte-Odile are also enchanting places that can be easily reached from our house on a beautiful day trip. The surroundings invite you to a real relaxing holiday! But for small children and also in terms of culture, there is much to discover in the Bas-Rhin department and just across the border in the Palatinate Forest. From the house, you can go on countless hikes in a very beautiful and peaceful environment.
A whole range of tips and descriptions (also in German), as well as road maps and hiking maps, are available in our house. The house is located in a complex on the edge of the forest with a magnificent view of the Northern Vosges Nature Park, on the outskirts of the village of Pfaffenbronn (municipality of Lembach), a small farming village without any shops. Nearby there are many good restaurants, the Auberge du Pfaffenschlick and the Ferme Auberge des 7 Fontaines. A little further, north of Lembach, is the restaurant Gimbelhof. There, for example, you can enjoy delicious trout in a charming setting! Let yourself be surprised, you will not be disappointed.
Lembach, the next town, is about 4 km away. There you will find all necessary grocery stores: 1 bakery, 1 butcher, and also a Carrefour supermarket. Very convenient. There is also a small newsstand where you can buy German and Dutch newspapers. Large supermarkets can be found in the towns of Wissembourg and Woerth.

Very cozy comfortable house in a beautiful area
We were on holiday in this park for the 16th time, for the second time in this cottage. Fully equipped, wonderfully quiet, and very cozy. Very hospitable welcome and great contact with the Bessems family. The surroundings are beautiful in all seasons. Great for hiking, visiting villages, playing tennis, and swimming at the park. Plenty to do. The cottage has a lot of information about all the attractions in the area. Beautiful view from the back of the house. We would love to come back again.

Charming house with a cozy atmosphere, very nice landlords with a heart for dogs.
We as a family with a dog felt very comfortable in this charming vacation home. A wildflower bouquet to welcome us on the table... you immediately feel welcome. The house is lovingly furnished, very clean and well-maintained. We made ourselves comfortable on both terraces with beautiful plants and great views. The tips from our landlords regarding excursions and restaurants nearby were also very good.
We really enjoyed our stay.

Happy holidays
The house of the Bessems family is located in a very well-maintained holiday home complex, where a pool and a tennis court can also be used. The house is very nicely furnished and equipped. There are two terraces in front of and behind the house, which are extensively furnished with garden furniture. Our landlady provided us with good tips for excursions and information about the house and the holiday home complex. Our golden retriever dogs were also very welcome. There are beautiful hiking trails right next to the house. Whether it's the tree top walk, castle visits or a trip to Wissembourg, there's something for everyone here.
The price-performance ratio was perfect. We will be back!!!!! The Schatz family

Blissful peace
Very nicely furnished house, cozy and tasteful. Everything you need is available, including several travel guides and excursion tips. The area is perfect for hiking and exploring. A car is necessary for shopping. The pool is great for cooling down. Dogs must be kept on a leash in the complex, outside there is a lot of open field and forest. The properties are not fenced. Very, very nice landlords.

Lembach / Pfaffenbronn
With our grandchildren (8 and 10 years old) we visited this holiday home, which is more than "charming", for a week from July 9th to 16th, 2016. 5 stars for amenities, value for money, service and location - no question. Service and cleanliness get an extra star. The park-like surroundings of the house with its silence, the relatively large pool and the proximity to Wissembourg and Strasbourg and the Fleckenstein Castle were a special experience. And Mrs. Bessems-Topps is an excellent and friendly landlord who provides holidaymakers with great tips and information. It doesn't get any better. Thanks again for this wonderful week!
