Charming Red Cottage in a Forest Idyll – Close to a Beautiful Quarry & Fishing Opportunities! Are you looking for an affordable and relaxing stay surrounded by nature? Then this classic red cottage in the heart of Skåne is just right for you! Here you’ll live simply yet comfortably, with the forest as your closest neighbor and just a short distance to both swimming in the quarry and great fishing spots. When you step inside, you’ll find a kitchen with a dining area and a cozy fireplace that spreads warmth on cooler evenings. The cottage offers a total of 5 beds: two bedrooms (one with a double bed, one with a single bed) plus a sofa bed in the living room. The bathroom is more modern and includes conveniences such as a washer-dryer. Outdoors you’ll enjoy a lush garden with open lawns, a covered patio, and a glass-enclosed veranda – perfect for long summer evenings. The ceiling height is around 190 cm, adding to the genuine, rustic charm. This is affordable accommodation that lets you spend more of your time discovering all the gems that Skåne has to offer. Perfect for those who want to relax, enjoy nature, and experience Skåne! There’s plenty to see and do in Skåne within reasonable distance. For those who enjoy swimming, fishing, walking, or cycling, there’s endless natural beauty to explore. By car you’ll reach numerous lakes such as Lake Ivö, Lake Immeln (where you’ll also find an ice cream boat in summer), and Lake Oppmanna, just to name a few. The area also offers many churches and castles to visit, the Ljungryda Nature Reserve, and Vångaberget – ideal for skiing in winter and cycling in summer. Golf enthusiasts will find several courses nearby, including Aralöv Golf Club, which also serves excellent food. If you want to swim at one of the finest beaches in Skåne, Åhus is perfectly located. Along the coast towards Österlen you’ll also find Kivik’s Cider Mill, Stenshuvud National Park, Ales Stones, and much, much more. Good to know Bed linen is included.

The house was in very good condition and has a very special charm in the typical Swedish summer house style. It is cozy and rustic furnished, gives a very well-kept impression overall, and offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. Especially nice are the small stove and the heating – it was always pleasantly warm and never cold. A truly lovingly maintained house that I can recommend to anyone who wants to spend a quiet, cozy vacation in true Swedish style. Recommendations: Kristianstad is a great shopping city with many different options – from large shopping centers to charming little second-hand shops that are particularly recommended. The Kristianstad Theater is beautifully located in Tivoli Park, and we were very lucky to see Billy Elliot there – an unforgettable experience! Gothenburg is definitely worth a trip as well. It is about a three-hour drive away, but the city is simply beautiful and very worth seeing.
