Our forest house is located 2 km from Klaushagen in the Uckermärkische Seen Nature Park, isolated on a 4-hectare orchard, free from road traffic and neighbors. An extensive mixed forest directly adjoins the property to the northwest. The nearest swimming spot at Haussee is about a 20-minute walk away, and at Schumellensee, there is a pier and diving tower.
Excursion possibilities include: Boitzenburg Castle and Monastery Mill, Feldberg Lake District, handcar trip from Lychen to Templin, Templin Therme. The vacation home is located in a comfortably converted former stable building with separate access.
Underfloor heating under the terracotta tiles, a fireplace and free wood provide cozy warmth in the evenings and winter.
Inside the house, you will find a cozy sitting area with a comfortable sofa and a television. The large windows let in plenty of natural light and offer a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape. The open kitchen is equipped with modern appliances, including a dishwasher and a kettle. A dining area with a wooden table and chairs invites communal dining.
The bedroom is equipped with a comfortable bed, fresh linens, and a wardrobe. The bathroom features a modern shower, a vanity, and a hairdryer. Wi-Fi is available throughout the apartment.
A terrace opens to the southwest, providing access to the orchard. A coach house with two horse stalls and the paddock with a small flock of sheep are within sight, and the chickens (our own or those in the village) provide the eggs for breakfast. The farmstead is located at the end of a cobblestone path leading to Vierbrüderplatz.
UPDATE 2025: After three visits from the wolf, our sheep and horses have moved to safer areas in the neighborhood. We will observe and decide in the fall what to do next. Of course, we can't do without animals: The bees are still here and the number of chickens is increasing :-)
Arrival is possible from 2 PM, and earlier if arranged and possible.
In 2020, we installed a sauna in the former apiary on our property and we are happy if it is used. For the electricity costs, we charge a fee according to current rates.
The Klaushagen Forest House is a non-smoking house and long-term rentals are possible. We look forward to welcoming you at the Forsthaus Klaushagen and wish you an unforgettable stay.

Klaushagen is located approx. 80 km north of Berlin between Templin and Boitzenburg. Car routes are the B109 or the country roads via Liebenwalde and Zehdenick or the motorway (exit Pfingstberg, then via Gerswalde).
It is possible to travel by train via Templin (hourly from Lichtenberg/ Gesundbrunnen) and further by bus line 509 (2 hours in total). We will be happy to pick you up from the bus stop in Klaushagen.
There are well-developed cycle paths from Berlin to (almost) here.

Best countryside holiday
The place is just as described. Hosts are very welcoming and helpful. Surroundings are beautiful, plenty of forest, water, space for exploration and walking. Highly recommended!

Dreamlike vacation apartment
We have rarely experienced accommodation that is created with so much love. But the best part is the secluded location in the Uckermark, along with the enchanting approach via an old road. We will be back soon!

golden was not just the autumn :-)
the forest house and the holiday apartment are as promised jwd, which means way out there - from Berlin's perspective, on the edge of the Jungfernheide nature reserve.
The hosts are exceptionally nice and can tell wonderful stories when asked.
After a long hike, we were in the sauna in the evening. A fire and lanterns were lit for us. It doesn't get better than this.

It was again a wonderful vacation like every year. We will definitely come back next year 100000 percent. Like every year. The landlords are super nice and very friendly. The peace and the surroundings, the forest, the landscape, and everything around are priceless. One can simply let the soul find peace. Thank you again. Our dog also felt very comfortable.

We have been living in the Klaushagen forester's lodge in the Uckermark since 2010, with bees and sheep, horses, chickens, a dog and cats. The farm includes a few hectares of pasture and a small wood; the Rosenower Damm leads past the house into the Jungfernheide nature reserve. My husband works in Berlin and is only "outside" at weekends. I write radio plays and books, paint (my sheep) and have a lot to do on the farm, so "writing farmer" perhaps best describes my work.
