Location and surroundings of object

Medulin used to be a fishing village, today it is a modern tourist centre that offers a dynamic and content-rich holiday. Everything is geared towards tourism. A bank, ATMs, post office, doctors' surgeries, pharmacy, vegetable market, car wash, a number of shops, souvenir and jewellery shops, hairdressing salons and galleries are open all year round. The entertainment options are varied, from discos open until the early hours of the morning to dance terraces.

The unique one kilometre long sandy beach of Medulin, Bijeca, attracts families with small children. Nature lovers opt for the campsite, where hundred-year-old pine trees protect them from the intense sun. Nudists will also find what they are looking for in Medulin if they want to get in touch with nature. If you are looking for more comfortable accommodation, there are family hotels or hotels right by the sea, which are constantly being renovated. Athletes, especially footballers and track and field athletes, train on Medulin's green areas, especially in winter.

The climate is ideal for preparation during the winter months. The average daily temperature in January is 6.2 degrees, which is favourable for sports and recreation. The month of April with an average of 11 degrees and the month of May with an average of 16 degrees are the ideal weather for cycling tours or horse riding through these predominantly flat landscapes. Here, in a town with a long fishing tradition, you will discover the delights of the local cuisine - crab salad, black risotto or brodetto. If you prefer meat, there is Istrian prosciutto, if you love pasta there is fuži with veal ragout or perhaps aromatic specialities with the famous truffles.

If you want to experience an adventure, head to one of the small islands of the Medulin archipelago - Ceja, Levan or Bodulaš. Go fishing with local fishermen or dive into the tranquil underwater world. Perhaps you prefer to see everything from the air? Then there are panoramic flights for you in a sports aeroplane. Don't miss the former windmills by the sea or the archaeological site of Vižule with the remains of Roman villas, or take a walk to see the ducks in Medulin Pond.
