Description

Hello dear holidaymakers,
thank you for looking at our holiday home. Please take a look at the pictures, and if you have any further questions, just write to us.
It is clear that you can sleep like a dream with us, and then comes the long holiday day, which should be perfect, right? What do holidaymakers want on holiday - clear answer: various things, you can put together your holiday from the following activities (or inactivities):

1. On the property

Peace and relaxation
We are far away from the crowds, the terrace faces the lake, there are 2 holiday homes on the property and Konny, Torsten and Emy, that's it. The property is fenced, the terraces are fenced. There are enough sunbathing areas, and you can simply ---relax.

Campfire

We have a large fireplace, a men's fireplace, where you can make nice big campfires and drink a glass of wine.

Sports (not meant so seriously)

Badminton is available
Boccia is available, etc.

2. Water

The lake

20 metres in front of the property, 190 ha large, 35 m water depth, clear water. Old fish stocking, from catfish to roach. The children have caught the biggest fish so far with the Stippe. The channels are natural, with pond and water lilies - dreamlike.

The jetty

No footbridge, as we have decided to interfere with nature only as much as necessary.

The bathing area

Good access and shallow up to about 20 metres, then sloping.

3. Activities from the property

Boat 5 hp

A boat (larger than Anka 4) with 5 hp motor, or oars. Motor is not permanently attached to the boat. Good for fishing and cruising. Can be driven without a licence.

Boat 15 hp

Our fun boat, is faster than the "small one". Bathing from the boat is possible without problems, with steering position and fish finder, sunbathing area and bimini (sun awning). Fishing is also possible, of course
A quick trip to the Kannenburg lock, lunch/ice cream, a beer (not the driver) and back. The boat is also licence-free.

SUP (10,8 and 15 Fd)

Here we have 2 SUP`s at the start for you, for all weight classes, and from beginner to advanced. What is a SUP? You get a surfboard and a paddle, stand on the board and paddle across the water in this position. Hawaii at Lake Röddelin, is crazy fun, and you can explore the lakes and canals "on foot".

Bikes

There are 2 bicycles available for you to explore the surroundings, around the Röddelinsee as a day tour.

Hiking

This is something we like to do, to explore the surroundings. for 40 years the Russians dug their way through the woods, built dugouts for tanks, kilometres of trenches, and foxholes (standing), unbelievable. It's definitely worth seeing, especially because nature is reclaiming its areas and mushrooms are now growing for you. You only have to collect them.

3. Activities outside the property

You don't have to leave, but if you absolutely have to, you can:

4. Finally - the dog

First of all the "bad" thing, the property is not for sole use, we have a dog, our dear Emy, a Dalmatian bitch, and yes, if a dog breaks something, it has to be replaced, that's life, and it's the same with people. The thing is, there are only a few ways to go on holiday with a dog. And then it's supposed to be super nice, and you have a problem dog, and you as dog owners are more anxious than your dogs. Our experience is that, since every dog can call a house its own, there are no problems with territorial behaviour etc. If you have any doubts, you always have 2 possibilities of isolation - 1. the house, 2. the terrace. So trust us, we say - give the dog a holiday!

Dream vacation

We really spent relaxing days in this refuge. They still exist. Accommodation. Nearly perfect. Contact with our hosts. Absolutely perfect. Grounds. Anyone with a dog will find nothing better. Fenced, large, and absolutely safe. The accommodation is certainly not cheap. However. Justified. For anyone looking for accommodation with standards, plenty of nature, amenities, and great contact with the host. You are in the right place here. Regardless. Templin and its surroundings are also absolutely recommended.
However, we had to realize one thing. One vacation is by no means enough.
That's why we are happy to come back :-).

Dream vacation

We had a wonderful vacation in May, even though the weather didn't cooperate. The house is very nicely furnished with a great terrace and very clean. The house is on a very large fenced property, which was an absolute dream for our dog and is surrounded by forest. It's just a stone's throw from the property to the lake. The best thing for us was the peace and quiet; here you can really relax and unwind. For us, the best accommodation so far, both in terms of location (forest, lake, large property, quiet) and also regarding the furnishings, because everything has been thought of. Moreover, the landlords are very friendly, warm, and uncomplicated.
We will definitely come back.

Pure relaxation

We were in the holiday house for 2 weeks in August 2024 and felt very comfortable. The quiet location right by the lake was just right for us, noise-plagued Leipzig residents. The house is very well and practically furnished. The property is surrounded by a lot of forest, which invites hiking and mushroom picking. Our hosts (the Grohs family) were very nice, and the German Shepherd Bella is very relaxed around guests. The clean lake is a great place for swimming and fishing. We highly recommend a vacation here.

Holiday pure relaxation

We were here for 1 week, unfortunately far too short
We liked it very much. A very classy holiday home, with great furnishings. We didn't want for anything
Our dog Arco enjoyed the extensive run and made friends with Emi right away
With the boat we could also explore the area by water. There is still a lot of untouched nature here. In parts almost an Eldorado. Simply beautiful
Thank you for the nice and uncomplicated service. We will definitely be back.

Paradise for family and dog

We spent 2 wonderful weeks in Hohenfelde and enjoyed the great house, the beautiful surroundings, the excellent service of our hosts, and our dog's great love for Emy. We lacked nothing, and the heavens above sent us 14 days of great weather - what more could one ask for. This accommodation is highly recommended, and we can definitely imagine another holiday (if Corona permits) - the Langhänse from Glinde near Hamburg.

Hohenfelde for the 4th time

We've never been to New York (why would we!)
But we've been to Hohenfelde No. 11 four times!
Because there you can enjoy real peace and easily
walk 20 or more kilometers with the dog through forest and meadow
without meeting anyone, not counting the wildlife.
A hiking GPS is recommended, as there are various unmarked paths,
the area is very extensive and free of roads.
The accommodation is great, everything is there. Many thanks to Konny and Torsten from Chico and his caregivers

A dreamy week in the Swiss mountains.

If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the perfect place for you. If you are searching for a beautiful cozy holiday home with everything you need, you have found it here.
We had a very nice holiday week - the lake (right outside the door) is wonderful - the dreamy boat trips on the canal are a nature experience - the Kanneburg lock is highly recommended.
In short - you can really relax here.
Many thanks to Konny and Torsten for this holiday idyll. We wish you all the best for your house construction and say thank you once again.

Vacation at Konny and Thorsten in the Wiesengrund, you can't go wrong

The nice landlords warmly welcome you and a relaxing holiday can begin. The holiday home leaves nothing to be desired. For rainy days, there is a huge selection of books and CDs available. In fine weather, you can feel totally comfortable on the almost luxurious terrace and on the large property. The little ones are also taken care of - a small playground near FH2 invites climbing. To the lake, with a small lake access it is only a few steps (50m). One should use the offered motorboat. A trip on the Röddelinsee is really fun. The lake is also suitable for fishing, success almost guaranteed and at nightfall otters can be observed. Pure nature. Excursions to the surrounding area such as Templin or Lychen (approx. 20 km) round off the holiday. For children, a trip to Himmelpfort to see Santa Claus is recommended. And for those who simply want to do nothing, they can enjoy the peace, which comes for free.
The holiday home is also suitable for extensive bike rides - but better to use the bike paths here. While hiking trails are also passable, they are sometimes very sandy. If that doesn't bother you, you should cycle about 6 km to the lock at Kannenburg. Let yourself be surprised...

Pure relaxation in nature.

Peace and seclusion in nature, yet great hospitality and comfort, that's what we found here! We adults could relax on the terrace, while the children could swim and fish in the lake right in front of the house. The very well-equipped holiday home left nothing to be desired for all of us (fully equipped kitchen with freezer, allergy-friendly bedrooms, TV, stereo system with CDs of all music genres, Wi-Fi, many books and games for indoor and outdoor use, information material for excursions, barbecue facilities, laundry line, and much more.) Thank you to our hosts, you made a great vacation possible for us!

Pure relaxation.

We were welcomed very warmly and handed over a very clean and lovingly decorated Mediterranean bungalow which is fully equipped for 2 people. If you like it very quiet and love nature, you will feel very comfortable here. Shopping facilities are plentiful in Templin, which is 5 km away. With beautiful weather, we were able to do a lot of cycling. We explored the surrounding area by car (e.g. Boitzenburg, Feldberg...). It is a very charming lake landscape, which is still very original. A small boat with a motor is also available. We were able to have breakfast on the terrace every morning. The spacious terrace is fenced. Our dog was allowed to roam freely on the very large property and play with the house lady "LISA" (Dalmatian). We had a very good rest and would love to come back.

Dear holidaymakers, we, Konny and Torsten, have spent many years on holiday in various holiday homes all over Germany. We were rarely lucky enough to experience the most beautiful and precious time of the year in a great ambience and "worthy" of a holiday and to relax. Very often we had to choose between grandma's good furniture or a very simple interior. In 2009 we were lucky enough to get hold of our great plot of land by the lake. We furnished our 2 beautiful holiday homes the way we would like to spend our holidays. In harmony and of high quality.
