Mirow is a charming small town in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, known for the castle island with the castle of the later Princess Sophie Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (1744-1818). She later became Queen of Great Britain and Ireland. From the courtyard of the holiday apartment, one can directly reach the Herrensteig and from there along the Mirow Lake to the south towards the castle island with the castle and the Johanniter Church and to the north towards the Mirow beach, which is suitable for swimming and for a boat tour. The lido is only 400 meters away. Situated directly on the Müritz-Havel waterway, Mirow offers ideal conditions for all water sports.
From the conservatory, at least in winter, you can see the palace. Mirow Castle is located on a picturesque island. The romantic castle island with the historical gatehouse (built in 1588), the residence castle, and the venerable Johanniter Church invites you to dream and linger.
The nearest bakery is only 400 m away. Supermarkets such as Edeka, Aldi, and Netto are also in the town (1 km away). The county town of Neustrelitz offers many cultural options for the region with the state theater and the cultural district (25 km away, also a train connection every 2 hours from Mirow). Furthermore, the Müritz with the wonderful cities of Röbel and Waren is easily accessible from Mirow, as is the Müritz National Park.
