The holiday apartment is located on Seestraße at the edge of the historic old town directly opposite the ferry terminal
to Rügen and Hiddensee on the ground floor of a five-story old building, which was built around 1900 and extensively renovated
in 1999. From the apartment, one can see Rügen and, in clear weather, also up to Hiddensee.
Explore the historic old town of Stralsund with a walk directly from Seestraße. Worth seeing is the Old Market with the Hanseatic town hall as well as the Gothic gabled houses, the remnants of the city wall with two preserved city gates, the three large city churches, Nikolai, Marien, and Jakobi, built around 1300, and the Johann and Catherine monasteries. From the tower of Marienkirche, one has an unforgettable view in good weather. Inside the Catherine Monastery are the Museum of Cultural History and the widely-known Maritime Museum. The Wallenstein Days in July and the Christmas market during Advent are two highlights in the extensive event calendar of the Hanseatic city.
The vacation apartment is an ideal starting point for excursions in the surrounding area. A ferry operates to Hiddensee three times daily and hourly to Altefähr on Rügen. A harbor tour "Around Dänholm" also starts from Seestraße pier.
The Crane Information Center in Groß Mohrdorf is open all year round. Up to 30,000 cranes can be observed here during their migration. Large birds can be especially observed in the fall. The island of Rügen with its chalk cliffs near Sassnitz, Cape Arkona, Jasmund National Park, Granitz Hunting Lodge, and the seaside resorts of Binz and Sellin offers a variety of excursion and sightseeing opportunities. Rügen can be reached via the Rügen Causeway by train or bicycle. The Störtebeker Festival at the Ralswiek open-air theater in the summer is also worth a visit. In every season, a visit to the Cinestar at Neuer Markt or to the adventure pool with sauna garden in HanseDom is rewarding.
Arrival by public transportation:
Stralsund train station, from there by taxi or bus line 1 or 4 to Olof-Palme-Platz and a 5-minute walk.

Dear guests, I am the landlord of the holiday apartment on Stralsunder Seestraße right by the harbor, with Rügen located opposite. The ferries to Rügen and Hiddensee are 50 to 100 meters away from the apartment. The apartment is suitable for families or vacationers, as well as for assembly workers or locals from Stralsund who are temporarily looking for an apartment nearby.
