Below our house, behind the narrow coastal road, lie the beach of Kersiny and the coastal walking path GR 34, which leads in both directions. A bit further to the left is Mesperleuc beach. No dangerous cliffs.
The house was completely renovated and modernized in 2020, and a 20 m2 conservatory was added.

Additionally, the latest generation of electric radiators are present in all rooms, as well as towel radiators in the bathrooms. On the side of the house facing the Atlantic lies the large wooden deck (about 80 m²) with a sea view of the Bay of Audierne and the Phare de Lervily.

Location and surroundings of object
Our house is located in Plouhinec in the Bay of Audierne. Audierne is situated on Cap Sizun in the Finistère department, in the southwest of Brittany.
Here, a very mild microclimate prevails; the winters are mild and the summers not too hot. It is said that the area has the most sunshine hours in Brittany. Due to the mild winters, the vegetation is quite southern; palms, agaves, mimosa, and of course all types of hydrangeas grow in many gardens. In January and February, camellias bloom in almost every garden, and the daffodils open their blossoms already at the beginning of February. In late spring, the coast of Cap Sizun then reveals its full bloom. Rare species of orchids flower along the coastal hiking trail, yellow gorse and countless types of wildflowers immerse the Cap in bright colors. In the summer, the 'Landes', the extensive heathlands of Cap Sizun, bloom. The tranquil harbor town of Audierne is located about four kilometers from Plouhinec. Here, you can stroll along the harbor and, as you wish, stop by one of the small fish restaurants or one of the crêperies. In Audierne, there is also a well-stocked fish shop where you can buy live langoustines in the evening during the season. On Saturdays, there is a very nice weekly market in Audierne. Behind Plouhinec in the interior lies Pont-Croix on the tidal river Goyen, which later flows into the Atlantic at Audierne. Pont-Croix offers, besides a very beautiful old town with cobbled streets and many shopping opportunities, several dining options, from the crêperie to the upscale restaurant. A nice weekly market on Thursdays. Leaving Plouhinec towards Plozévet, you reach (those who like a bit of a walk can easily cover the distance on foot) the small port of Pors Poulhan. Here, you can sit on the terrace of the Bar les Côtiers right by the harbor during the summer months and enjoy a cool cider or a freshly tapped Breton beer with delicious crêpes. Many say these are the best crêpes in Cap Sizun. On the way, you will pass the Menez Dregan excavations. A hill grave, dolmen from the Late Stone Age, and a cave from the Paleolithic period are among the attractions.
From Plouhinec, many interesting excursions can be undertaken. The famous Pointe du Raz with the La Vieille lighthouse is just one of the well-known destinations nearby. Here, with a bit of luck, you can see majestic tall ships sailing through the Raz de Sein, the strait between the Île de Sein and the Pointe du Raz. At the Semaphore, day and night, the French Navy monitors maritime traffic around the Cape, and right in front of it, the statue of 'Notre Dame des Naufragés' is supposed to protect the shipwrecked from misfortune.
Douarnenez, with its beautiful museum harbor and significant fishing port, is only about 20 minutes away by car, and you can also reach the medieval town of Locronan via Pont-Croix in about half an hour, just as it takes the same amount of time to drive to Quimper, the capital of the South Finistère prefecture. Here you can admire the beautiful half-timbered houses of the old town and stroll through the pedestrian zones.
The Route du Vent Solaire is also beautiful, a small road that, marked with a sun, always runs along the Atlantic. You can reach Penmarc'h, at the other end of the Bay of Audierne, via this road. Here you can climb the many steps of the Phare d'Eckmühl and be rewarded with a grandiose view. If you continue, you will reach Le Guilvinec with its bustling fishing harbor. In the afternoon, you can watch the fishing boats coming in from a specially built terrace and purchase fresh seafood directly on site.

Cancellation terms:
Here is the translation to English: --- Cancellation up to the 90th day before the start of the rental: 25% of the rental price (deposit) Cancellation from the 89th to the 40th day before the start of the rental: 50% of the rental price Cancellation from the 39th to the 20th day before the start of the rental: 80% of the rental price Cancellation after the 19th day before the start of the rental: 100% of the rental price Note: The rental price covers the use of the house including a flat rate for electricity and water (up to 50 kWh electricity/week and 3 m³ water/week) during the stay. In the event of a cancellation before the start of the rental, there will be no refund for this, as it is a flat rate included in the rental price. The costs for final cleaning, towels and bed linen, as well as the deposit, will of course be refunded in the event of a cancellation, provided they have already been paid. We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance so that, in addition to the disappointment of a missed holiday, you do not also suffer financial loss. If the landlord is able to re-rent the house for the same period, any payments already made will be refunded, minus a reasonable processing fee of 10%. The closer the travel date approaches, the lower the chance of finding a replacement tenant for the booked period.

Mrs. U. Schmitt
Already infected with the Brittany virus for many years, one day we finally fulfilled our dream of owning a holiday home on the Breton coast. We are Ursula and Ferdinand Schmitt and our three dogs: two Border Collies and a Dalmatian. For us, Cap Sizun was the only choice from the start. This area is just special, the beautiful nature, very warm and uncomplicated people, a very special atmosphere, and a very high quality of life. We have now decided to spend our lives forever in this beautiful spot on earth and have acquired another house. Therefore, we can now offer you our beautiful holiday home as a vacation residence. My husband and I live in Goulien and are available as local contacts at any time. We are happy to give you tips and assist you with advice and support. Welcome to Brittany! Welcome to Brittany!
