Audierne Coastal Cottage for 8

I particularly liked that the remote control for the TV actually had batteries. The double bed in the bedroom was comfortable, and the separate toilet from the bathroom made things much easier for us in the morning. In the kitchen, there were all the important appliances like a microwave and refrigerator. On the terrace with garden furniture, one could wonderfully enjoy a coffee outside.

Accessible Cozy Cottage in Audierne

Audierne

Without hesitation, I would book again. The holiday home had two bedrooms, a practical open kitchen to the living area, and a nice flat-screen TV. Parking was easy, and since it is located in a pedestrian zone, there was no traffic noise. An afternoon in the swimming pool also provided some cooling off.

I would book here again at any time. The cabin was inviting for two people with a cozy double bed and a well-equipped kitchen, which made cooking enjoyable. I especially liked the view of the lake from the terrace.

What do you need to experience in Audierne?

Fishing village romance on the Breton west coast

The small fishing village of Audierne is located in the south of the Finistère department at the mouth of the Goyen River. While the village used to be an important fishing port, Audierne has now developed into a pretty tourist resort, known for its oyster farming in addition to tourism. The fishing port has become a modern marina where you can admire beautiful sailing and motor yachts. There are numerous stands in the harbor offering fresh oysters. An apartment by the sea or a holiday home with a garden and modern facilities and views of the Atlantic are perfect for a beach holiday in Audierne. The wild and romantic coastal landscape consists of kilometers of sandy beaches and secluded bathing bays. In the southwest, the longest sandy beach in Brittany stretches to the coastal town of Penmarch. Along the Goyen River, you can hike on an old towpath to Pont-Croix. The tranquil town delights its guests with many natural stone houses made of dark granite stones and a medieval flair. Near your holiday home or apartment in Audierne, you can embark on a canoe trip on the Goyen River in the summer. These are only carried out at high tide and lead through the vegetation-rich regions of the river. In many of the private apartments with Wi-Fi and holiday homes with gardens, a dog is also a welcome guest. Take a look at the reviews for the respective properties to get a good impression of the apartments and houses. The earlier you book holiday homes with sea views in a central location in France, the cheaper the prices are.

Where can I eat out in Audierne?

Eating like God in Brittany

During your holiday in an apartment on the beach or in a holiday home with several bedrooms at the harbor in the Quimper region, you should definitely visit a Crêperie. The national dish Galette Complète, created by the farmers, is a delicious buckwheat flour pancake topped with ham, grated cheese, and fried egg. We recommend a Breton cider, made from the fermented must of special apples. Due to the proximity to the Atlantic, the fish in Brittany is always fresh. After the catch and the subsequent auction, sea bream, John Dory, and red gurnard with delicate vegetables land on the plates. Oysters are best enjoyed pure and not drizzled with white wine, vinegar, or lemon like the Parisians do. If you don't want to indulge yourself in one of the restaurants in Audierne, you will find everything you need in the kitchen of your holiday home or apartment to prepare a delicious meal.
