Discover the beauty of the Holstein Lake District and enjoy a relaxing stay in our holiday flat "Die Große" on the farm. The holiday flat in the basement of our house offers about 75 square metres of space for up to 6 people and has a kitchen, hallway, living room, 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. One bedroom has an additional washbasin.
The flat has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, kettle and coffee machine. Bed linen, towels, an iron, hoover, clothes horse and a hairdryer are also provided.
For our younger guests we offer a cot, changing table and high chair free of charge. In the living area you will find a TV and free Wi-Fi so that you can keep up to date during your stay.
Outside you can enjoy the garden, relax on your own terrace or use the barbecue. A car park for your car or bicycles is also available in the carport. A canoe is available for water sports enthusiasts.
The surrounding nature invites you to go for walks and cycle tours. Observe our many farm animals as well as the local wildlife, such as wild geese, kites and, with a bit of luck, sea eagles and kingfishers. Or enjoy the peace and quiet of the nearby river Schwentine. After about 600 metres through our small forest, a dirt track leads directly to our fishing and bathing jetty. The holiday flat is surrounded by an idyllic landscape with meadows and "Knicks", ancient trees, lovingly restored thatched-roof houses and windmills, historic estates and picturesque lakes that invite you to go boating and swimming. They are a real alternative to the coastal regions of Schleswig-Holstein (Baltic Sea approx. 25 minutes, North Sea approx. 1.5 hours). Dörnick is the ideal starting point for many activities, such as Karl May plays in Bad Segeberg, shopping tours in Kiel or the marzipan city of Lübeck, excursions on Lake Plön or the Five Lakes Tour, canoe tours, Bräutigamseiche in Dodauer Forst, Hansa-Park Sierksdorf, Hohenfelde Ostrich Farm, Lütjenburg Ice Age Museum, castle tours, beach days on the Baltic Sea, Probsteier Korntage....and cycling, cycling, cycling!

Location and surroundings of object
Dörnick is an idyllic village in Schleswig-Holstein. Firmly anchored in our beautiful north in the middle of Holstein Switzerland, the Karper Hof is located between the Großer Plöner See and the Kleiner Plöner See or the river Schwentine. The flat is located in the basement of the house and can be reached via a separate entrance door. On hot summer days it is pleasantly cool here and in stormy times you can make yourself really "hyggelig" (cosy) there! The private terrace is directly adjacent to the large garden with trampoline and children's play equipment.
The Karper Hof is only about 6 minutes by car from the district town of Plön and for your daily needs you can go to Ascheberg am See, 3 km away.
You can reach us from the A1 and A7 motorways via the B430 in the direction of Plön. Just 2 km after Ascheberg, turn left towards Dörnick. After 3 km you will find our farm in the sharp left-hand bend in the district of Karpe.
You can take the train from the station in Plön or Ascheberg in the direction of Kiel or Lübeck.

Moin Moin and welcome to the Hoeft family! That's Malte and Martina with the three (partly grown up) children Katharina, Mareike and Henning, as well as the grandparents Anne and Werner. We are the 6th generation to live on our farm and put our heart and soul into farming, grassland and dairy farming. Our hobbies are combined with an active and sociable village life, such as the fire brigade, theatre, hunting or just having a chat.
