Description
The Haunehof is located near the small railway station Haunetal-Neukirchen and is therefore also easy to reach for all groups by train. Both the guest house, up to 14 beds, and the holiday flat, up to 6 beds, can be rented individually or together. The houses are half-timbered, which creates a cosy atmosphere inside the houses. Both houses are fully equipped with self-catering kitchens. The guest house has a large group room and a converted attic, which can be used very well as a seminar room or relaxation room, as well as for additional sleeping space if required. The flat has a very high and atmospheric group room and is suitable for workation (height-adjustable desk, extra screen, good WLAN). In the courtyard there is plenty of seating, a large Argentinian barbecue (parilla) as well as a sandpit and a table tennis table. On the ground floor, a recreation room with beamer can be used by arrangement. On the large fruit tree meadow with nut, apple, plum and cherry trees, there is also a large fireplace with barbecue area. The meadow is also home to a few camera sheep from Africa. The Haunehof also offers a canoe rental service on the Haune and Fulda rivers. Haunetal is part of the Rhön Biosphere Reserve. The surrounding area offers a wealth of leisure activities, from hiking to the Hauneck castle ruins, the Lange Steinen or the Red Moor, to the high ropes course in Schlitz, climbing the Kaliberg near Heringen, the summer toboggan run on the Wasserkuppe, a stroll through the baroque town of Fulda, and the Point Alpha border memorial. In the summer months it is also worth visiting the Bad Hersfeld Festival (book in advance) with theatre, musical and concert performances.

The Haunehof is located on the periphery of the village next to the Evangelical Church. The Haunehof is a large cosy courtyard and a large fruit tree lawn with Apple, walnut, plum and cherry trees, and a fire pit with barbecue facilities. Haunetal-Neukirchen is a small town in the Vorderrhön with central railway station. Station Haunetal-Neukirchen. In the village you will find an Edeka active market, doctors, dentists, banks, and restaurants.

Cancellation terms:
If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us immediately by telephone and in writing so that we can offer the holiday apartment/guesthouse you booked to someone else. After a booking has been confirmed, a cancellation fee of 40.00 € will be charged if you cancel up to 60 days before the arrival date. After that, cancellation costs of 50% will apply up to 14 days before the arrival date, and 100% thereafter from 13 days beforehand. Guests are liable for any damages they cause.

Acceptable, but not great.
We spent a weekend there with 4 families. The condition of the house is rather mediocre. It's a pity that the ceiling height on the ground floor is so low that taller adults need to be very careful not to bump into the beams. Very unpleasant was the fact that there are apparently many mice that have gnawed on and eaten our food. In the morning, several biscuit packets and chocolate bars were completely nibbled on and eaten. Over a kilogram of cookies and chocolate had been eaten, and the fabric bags around them were accordingly also torn. The landlords found this rather normal (statement: "Oh, then the mice are probably coming in at night").
