We stayed with 10 people. In the house itself, there was 1 little fire provided to warm it up. Way too cold, the bedrooms were freezing... we slept in thick pajamas and our poncho with the hood up, otherwise we would freeze out of bed. Steam came from our mouths from the cold. We bought extra heaters ourselves after we obtained a heater in a blunt way from the owner (he threw an extra electric heater and extension cord inside and then my husband just had to stop complaining as the owner put it) but it was still way too cold. Electricity went out several times, there was apparently a short circuit in the caravan. The owner was supposed to have someone come on the 26th for the electricity but Sunday the problem was still the same. The bathroom was also ice-cold. . . the attic where the play equipment was located was also ice-cold, which meant we couldn't use it. For us, this was definitely not a vacation feeling. We made the best of it with nice outings because staying in the house all day was not feasible. The price is way too high for what you get. In winter, it should be prohibited to rent this out. No insulation, no smoke detector, no CO detector, no extractor hood. . . . Cooking was on gas with a stove from the quiet years, lighting the oven with a match. Water from the shower ran into the toilet next to it... showering was quick because it was ice cold, luckily there was warm water. The stairs were life-threatening, there was a pole attached downstairs so it would be somewhat stable. Hospitable as some say, I can't say... The description is completely off. The description I give is a converted barn with outdated furniture covered with some blankets. It is scandalous that Belvilla even has this property in its portfolio. We are much more accustomed to your properties than this. We left 4 days earlier than planned since we had a patient with a chronic lung condition with us, and because this was anything but comfortable for us.
