The holiday home is equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The kitchenette is equipped with modern appliances, including a stove and a sink. You can enjoy your meals on the wooden table in the kitchen or outside on the porch, surrounded by beautiful natural scenery.
The bedroom is cozy and comfortable, with 2 single beds and bedding. The bathroom is equipped with a shower.
In the living room, you can make yourself comfortable on the cozy sofa in front of the pellet stove. The room is equipped with a coffee table and a cabinet, and the large windows offer a beautiful view of the garden with old fruit trees.
For those arriving by car, a parking space is available. The property is surrounded by trees and green spaces, which invite you to relax and enjoy nature.

Dannenberg is a charming town in Lower Saxony, known for its historic architecture.
Penkefitz is a village in Lower Saxony in the Hannoversches Wendland, which has been a district of the town of Dannenberg(Elbe) since the municipal reform that took effect on July 1, 1972.
This village, characterized by half-timbered houses, is located in the midst of the Elbhöhen-Wendland Nature Park on a dead arm of the Elbe River,
known as the Tauben Elbe.
Until 1989, Penkefitz was directly on the inner German border. Penkefitz includes the settlement Strachauer Rad, directly located on the Elbe dike and consisting of several farms.
The two farms outside the dike were particularly affected by the Elbe flood in 2002 and 2006.

The approximately 30 sqm holiday home is located on an old terp at the edge of the Elbe meadows.
Surrounded idyllically by oaks and fruit trees, it accommodates two to three guests. It consists of a bedroom, a combined living and cooking area
with a fitted kitchen as well as satellite TV / sound system, Wi-Fi,
a bathroom with shower, and an outdoor area with a covered and open terrace.

The location of the holiday home is right on the Elbe, before the dike.
A beautiful view over the Elbe meadows directly into the sunset is possible.
Wild animals can be observed in nature, e.g.: storks, cranes, deer, rabbits, bats,
ducks, geese, swans, eagles, beavers, and others (depending on the season).
Due to its location, the holiday home is very suitable for exploring the area by bicycle,
since a bike path passes by in close proximity. A shelter for bicycles and charging for e-bikes is available.

Nice people and beautiful landscape
Terribly nice, helpful, and friendly landlords. The little house is very quiet and beautifully situated. Furnished with everything one needs, without any frills that just get in the way. The dyke construction site is indeed hard to miss and less than a hundred meters from the house. Nevertheless, it did not disturb me for a second. I was neither woken up by the excavator nor did I have to close the window due to 'noise.' The birdsong and even the buzzing of the bees were louder! One could sleep undisturbed with the window open. It was a very beautiful and relaxing week.
