Location and surroundings of object
Treuchtlingen is considered the gateway to the Altmühl Valley, which flows downstream from a rather flat plain into a deep valley and finally joins the Danube at Kehlheim. To the right and left of the Altmühl rises the Franconian Alb (the Jura) with an altitude difference of more than 130 metres.
There are many quarries here (including visitor quarries), cycle paths and hiking trails in seemingly unspoilt surroundings.
The holiday flat Uhlberg45 Vogelnest is located in a quiet side valley, the last offshoot of the Heumöderntal, in Treuchtlingen.
The town centre can be reached on foot in 5 minutes, without any difference in altitude.
