Discover the Alte Sattlerei Marienthal holiday apartment in Hamminkeln, North Rhine-Westphalia. This charming accommodation can accommodate up to four guests in 85 square meters of living space. It includes two bedrooms, a living-dining room, a kitchen, a spacious hallway, and a bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with a fully fitted kitchenette that includes a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven, ceramic hob, extractor fan, kettle, coffee machine, coffee pod machine, toaster, egg cooker, and dishes.
The bright and sun-filled apartment features comfortable and cozy furnishings. The living room is furnished with a comfortable sofa, a coffee table, and a television. The bedrooms are equipped with comfortable beds, bedside lamps, and ample storage space in the wardrobes. Bed linen, towels, and kitchen linens are provided. A crib is available for our youngest guests. On request, we can provide a high chair.
The renovated bathroom is modern and functional, equipped with a sink, a shower, a bathtub, and a toilet.
The apartment is a non-smoking apartment. In the outdoor area, you can expect a garden with a seating area. A charcoal grill is available. Free parking is also available. The garden shed can be used to lock up bicycles and charge batteries.

Location and surroundings of object
Marienthal is located near the border between the Lower Rhine and Westphalia, along the small river Issel. Our village of 500 souls has become known for the sacred art treasures from the 1920s and 1930s in the former Augustinian monastery. The monastery was built in 1256, and since 1986 Carmelite monks have lived there. The Old Saddlery is right at the entrance to the monastery. For over 40 years, the Marienthal Evenings with an extraordinary cultural program have taken place during the summer months. The popular excursion destination offers good restaurants, a café, small shops, and a cozy farm shop. With the surrounding cycle and hiking trails in Dämmerwald, Dingdener Heide, and the Hohe Mark Steig, there are numerous opportunities to explore nature. Excursions to the Roman city of Xanten, the Hanseatic city of Wesel, or to the water castles of Raesfeld and Lembeck, the Humberg House Dingden, or the Otto Pankok House Hünxe are easily accessible by e-bike. A golf course is located 2 kilometers away. Anyone who wants to explore the Ruhr area with the Zollverein Coal Mine or shop at Centro Oberhausen can get there in 30 minutes by car; Münster or Cologne can be reached in an hour.

A true insider tip at the beautiful Lower Rhine
The vacation apartment Alte Sattlerei in the nice little place Marienthal is really - still - a hidden gem; we felt completely comfortable, and everything was perfect. The contact with the nice landlords - the Sondermann family - was very friendly and straightforward, and the apartment itself was absolutely convincing - so much so that we have already booked it again. You can expect a beautifully and very well-equipped apartment that is also super clean, inviting, and cozy. The size of the entire apartment and the spaciousness of the individual rooms make you feel really comfortable. What we also liked very much is the fact that during the renovation, old elements were cleverly combined with modern living comfort, creating a very special atmosphere. It is also good that a parking space is available right by the house; everything is perfect.

Vacation Apartment Old Saddlery Marienthal
The lovingly renovated apartment was handed over to us in tip-top condition by the very friendly landlords. We were there as a couple with our bikes, and there was a storage option in a small lockable shed. All the rooms are very spacious and can accommodate up to 4 people. The kitchen with a small high table has everything you need. Everything went smoothly. At this point, once again, congratulations to the newly become grandparents (for the second time). We wish you much joy with the grandchildren.

perfect holiday apartment 5 stars
The contact with the landlords was uncomplicated. They were very accommodating and welcomed us personally on-site for the key handover. It is a beautiful, very clean holiday apartment, which is tastefully and purposefully furnished with a lot of love. You can find everything you need for a relaxing break, and the beautiful outdoor area invited us to stay longer. We were there with our grandchildren and would like to recommend this holiday apartment. It is also an ideal starting point for excursions. We would love to come back. Many thanks again to the Sondermann family.

We are Agnes and Wolfgang Sondermann and have been living together in Marienthal for 40 years. The saddlery, which our uncle built in 1936 and where he worked and lived for many years, has gradually been converted by us after his death, with 2 small shops and the holiday apartment.
