The vacation apartment "Zur alten Schule" in Königstein Halbestadt is a cozy holiday home that offers its guests a relaxed atmosphere. Halbestadt is also often referred to by locals as the "sunny side of Königstein." The apartment is located in a historic building that once served as a school.

Class accommodation

We felt very comfortable from the first to the last day of our vacation. The apartment was very clean and is very tastefully furnished. One can manage very well without a car. With the ferry, one can cross easily. Then there are shopping options as well as some restaurants. We will definitely come back.

Great vacation apartment for families

The apartment corresponds to the description and the pictures. It is almost newly furnished and leaves hardly any wishes unfulfilled. We would have liked two or three additional kitchen utensils, but that is already the only small drawback. Otherwise, the location and view are simply fantastic, and the hosts are very friendly and open. We will definitely come back.

Great holiday apartment in a wonderful location

We spent a week of family vacation here with 2 children and a dog and had a really nice time. The apartment is very tastefully and homely furnished. Everything you need is available, and much more. The rabbits were a highlight for the children as they were allowed to pet and feed them.

The location of the apartment is very good. You can take many beautiful trips from there, by bike, on foot, or by taking the ferry, which can be used free of charge. You don't really need the car. The view of the Königstein Fortress impressed all of us, especially at night.

The Dunsch family welcomed us warmly and was very friendly and helpful. The process was completely hassle-free.

We felt very comfortable and would gladly return if the journey should lead to this area again.

We would love to come again!

Beautiful, very clean apartment.
Well located, close to the Elbe and with a view of the Fortress Königstein. The early morning hike up the nearby Lilienstein is especially recommended.
The connection to Königstein by ferry is also good.

Great holiday apartment

We had a couple's vacation with a dog here. The apartment is very cozy and tastefully furnished. The initial contact regarding our arrival as well as any communication during our stay was very open, friendly, and always helpful. For us, the location of the apartment was ideal; we could enjoy both the peace and nature as well as many larger and smaller excursions without much effort. We didn't need the car at all during our stay. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back!

Super accommodation with great service

The holiday apartment "Zur alten Schule" can be recommended without reservation.

We spent a few days there hiking with our Labrador Retriever. This apartment is very well-suited as a base for excursions. Several popular hiking routes (e.g., Lilienstein, Königstein, routes along the Elbe, etc.) can be quickly reached on foot. For further outings, there is a parking space very close by, but both the boat and the train are also easily reachable on foot. The building is situated in such a good location that there is no traffic noise, except perhaps for a train in the distance every now and then.

The apartment itself is impeccably clean and in very good condition. The decor is modern yet cozy and, above all, tasteful. A fully equipped kitchen, a very large bathtub, comfortable couches, and a huge television are certainly among the highlights.

Ms. Dunsch, the landlord, is friendly and accommodating. During the handling, there were no problems on their side. On the contrary, I unfortunately had a few special requests in the organization, and Ms. Dunsch really went out of her way to support me and fulfilled all my requirements.

Should we travel to this area again, we will definitely inquire about the accommodation again. We have already recommended it to friends and family who are considering a vacation in the Saxon Switzerland. In short, we were thrilled.

Very nice apartment

We had a family vacation. The location is incredibly beautiful and the last road to the apartment is an "adventure"! (Positive!) Absolutely quiet area with sheep, little traffic, and hiking opportunities. The ferry to Königstein was great, free of charge due to the tourist tax.
We lacked nothing in the apartment, Mrs. Dunsch was very nice, and it was excellent all around. The furnishings were very tasteful and we felt comfortable right away. Absolutely recommended!?
