Hikers can follow well-marked paths to spectacular viewpoints such as the famous Königstein Fortress or the Bastei, from where they can enjoy panoramic views over the Elbe Valley and the surrounding valleys.
Königstein Fortress, one of the largest fortifications in Europe, is definitely worth a visit and offers insights into the history of the region.
There are also numerous excursion options from Königstein Halbestadt, including boat trips on the Elbe, visits to the nearby towns of Dresden or Pirna and exploring the national park.

Königstein Holiday Apartment
The holiday apartment was very much to our liking. It is located directly on the Elbe and is an ideal starting point for excursions, for example to the Bastei Bridge or the Königstein Fortress, thanks to the very good connection to public transport.
The apartment is excellently equipped, and the landlords are very friendly and accommodating. A special plus is the guest card included in the rental price, which also allows the use of public transport and the Elbe ferry. We spent a wonderful week here and can wholeheartedly recommend the vacation apartment.

Nun ist schon eine Woche her, dass wir Eure Ferienwohnung verlassen haben und auch die wunderschöne Gegend.
Es war ein unvergesslicher Urlaub und es hatte uns in Eurer Ferienwohnung an nichts gefehlt. Es war alles vorhanden und sehr gut ausgestattet.
Unser Auto hatten wir nicht einmal bewegt. Wir sind alles mit der Gästekarte abgefahren, S-Bahn, Bus und Fähre. Eine super Angebot!
Wir möchten uns auch nochmal ganz herzlich bei Euch bedanken für Eure tolle und nette Einweisung bei der Anreise. Ihr habt Euch sehr viel Zeit genommen. Macht weiter so und wir wünschen Euch vom ganzen Herzen weiterhin liebe und nette Gäste.

Class accommodation
We felt very comfortable from the first to the last day of our vacation. The apartment was very clean and is very tastefully furnished. One can manage very well without a car. With the ferry, one can cross easily. Then there are shopping options as well as some restaurants. We will definitely come back.

Great vacation apartment for families
The apartment corresponds to the description and the pictures. It is almost newly furnished and leaves hardly any wishes unfulfilled. We would have liked two or three additional kitchen utensils, but that is already the only small drawback. Otherwise, the location and view are simply fantastic, and the hosts are very friendly and open. We will definitely come back.

Die Wohnung ist hervorragend ausgestattet, die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ein besonderer Pluspunkt ist die im Mietpreis enthaltene Gästekarte, mit der auch der öffentliche Nahverkehr und die Elbfähre genutzt werden können.
Wir haben hier eine wunderschöne Woche verbracht und können die Ferienwohnung uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Ansonsten sind die Lage und Aussicht einfach fantastisch und die Gastgeber sehr freundlich und offen.
Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.
Die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr gut. Man kann von dort viele schöne Ausflüge unternehmen, per Rad, zu Fuß oder mit der Fähre, die kostenfrei genutzt werden kann. Das Auto braucht man nicht wirklich. Der Blick auf die Festung Königstein hat uns alle begeistert, gerade auch bei Nacht.
Familie Dunsch hat uns herzlich begrüßt, war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Abwicklung war vollkommen problemlos.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gern wieder, wenn die Reise in diese Gegend gehen sollte.
Wir waren einige Tage gemeinsam mit unserem Labrador Retriever dort zum Wandern. Als Basis für Ausflüge eignet sich diese Wohnung sehr gut. Man erreicht schnell zu Fuß gleich mehrere beliebte Wanderrouten (z.B. Lilienstein, Königstein, Routen entlang der Elbe etc). Für weitere Ausflüge hat man einen Parkplatz ganz in der Nähe, aber auch Schiff und Bahn sind leicht zu Fuß zu erreichen. Dabei liegt das Gebäude dennoch so gut gelegen, dass man keinen Verkehrslärm hat außer vielleicht ab und zu ein Zug in der Ferne.
Die Wohnung selbst ist makellos sauber und in sehr gutem Zustand. Die Einrichtung ist modern aber dennoch gemütlich und vor allem geschmackvoll. Eine voll ausgestattete Küche, sehr große Badewanne, gemütliche Couchen und ein riesiger Fernseher gehören sicher zu den Highlights.
Fr. Dunsch, die Vermieterin ist sympathisch und zuvorkommend. Bei der Abwicklung gab es von ihrer Seite keine Probleme. Ganz im Gegenteil, ich hatte leider ein paar spezielle Anforderungen bei der Organisation und Fr. Dunsch hat wirklich keine Mühen gescheut, mich zu unterstützen und mir alle Anforderungen erfüllt.
Sollten wir wieder in diese Gegend reisen, werden wir die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall wieder anfragen. Freunden und Familie haben wir sie bereits weiterempfohlen, wenn sie überlegt haben, Urlaub in der Sächsischen Schweiz zu machen.
Kurz, wir waren begeistert.
Gut gelegen, in Elbnähe und mit Blick auf die Festung Königstein. Vor allem der frühmorgendliche Aufstieg auf den nahe gelegenen Lilienstein ist sehr zu empfehlen.
Die Anbindung an Königstein mit der Fähre ist auch gut.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gern wieder!
Absolut ruhige Gegend mit Schafen, wenig Autoverkehr und Wandermöglichkeiten. Die Fähre nach Königstein war super, kostenlos durch die Kurtaxe.
In der Wohnung hat es uns an nichts gefehlt, Frau Dunsch war sehr nett und es war rundum klasse. Die Einrichtung war sehr geschmackvoll und wir fühlten uns sofort wohl.
