The Frisian village of Grou has a lively character and is known for its many water sports facilities. It is the starting point of the annual Skûtsjesilen and the unique location on the Pikmeer and the protected nature reserve De Alde Feanen makes it a very popular water sports destination. The well-known 8 van Grou ferry cycling route also starts here. A route map is available for you at the tourist office in the center. You will cycle across the water with no fewer than 8 different ferries. A unique experience of Friesland.
