The charming vacation home "Gretel" is quietly situated in a cul-de-sac in the forest settlement 'de Borg' at Rehweg 166. It is one of the two semi-detached houses "Hansel and Gretel" which can possibly be booked together. The adjoining terraces can be used either separately or together.

Ground Floor:
"Gretel's" kitchen is equipped with a microwave, oven, dishwasher, and a fridge-freezer combination. There is also a dining area. The living room has a satellite TV with internet, a DVD player, and a stereo system.
A guest toilet and a storage room are also located on the ground floor.
1st Floor:
The 3 bedrooms of the house are all located on the upper floor.
Also, a bathroom with shower, toilet, washing machine, and dryer.
The living area of the house is fully tiled and the sleeping areas have PVC flooring. In the adjacent garden, there is a small shed, which provides space for bicycles brought along or other travel utilities.
We also welcome your four-legged friend. However, we would like to point out that pets should stay on the ground floor, as not all guests may wish to sleep in a bed where dogs have previously slept. We reserve the right to reclaim any cleaning costs incurred due to unlawful behavior.

Not far from the holiday home, there is the Schloss Dankern holiday center (about 900m) and Lake Dankern (about 500m), which invites you to enjoy water sports and swimming. Furthermore, in Haren and the surrounding areas, there is a rich array of different leisure activities, and the beautiful Emsland offers ample opportunities for extended walks and bike rides.
Within a radius of about 15km, you can reach, for example, a riding stable, a go-kart track, a golf course, a digger park, or a trampoline park.
A visit to the city of Papenburg could also enhance your vacation.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday semi-detached house is located in the Dankern holiday centre at the end of a dead-end street. The Dankernsee is
approx. 800 m away and can be reached via a footpath. Haren, with its approx. 24,000 inhabitants, is a state-recognised recreation and holiday resort. The Dankernsee invites you with a 3 km long sandy beach, water skiing, boat rental and diving school. In the Dankern holiday centre (entrance fee) your children will find a 5 ha playground with approx. 130 playground equipment and for rainy days a large indoor playground and the Topas fun pool. The Emslandring (go-kart track) is nearby. Attractive day trips include: Meyer Werft shipyard ( 43 km, booking required ) Zoo in Emmen, Holland
( 25 km ), Bourtange Fortress, Holland ( 32 km ) , Emsland Moor Museum ( 25 km ) and a dredging park.
Haren and the surrounding area are ideal for cycling on many signposted routes with various distances. ( Bicycle rental on site ). There are also tours with the Emma ( train on the road ) and with the passenger ship Amisia.
