Welcome to the holiday home "The Happy Tulip", located in Noordwijkerhout, the Netherlands. This charming holiday home offers space for up to 4 guests on 52 square metres of living space. It has two bedrooms and a bathroom.
The holiday home is equipped with modern amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The fully equipped kitchen has a microwave, dishwasher and coffee machine. The living room is cosily furnished and has a Smart TV.
A cot and high chair are available on request for younger guests. An iron, hairdryer and washing machine are also available. The house is equipped with WiFi, so you can always stay connected. Please note that parties and smoking are not permitted in the house.

Transport
By car:
You can reach all possible destinations and especially the major cities in the region by car, but the railway stations in Sassenheim or Voorhout have free P&R facilities. This means you can explore Haarlem, Leiden, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague, for example, easily, quickly and without parking problems.
To Amsterdam: You can also park in the P&R garage of the Olympic Stadium or the Rai Exhibition Centre for 1 euro and get a tram ticket for free. Follow the rules indicated on site!

Noordwijkerhout, Lisse and other beautiful places in the neighbourhood can easily be explored by bike.
There are beautiful tours by bike or on foot parallel to the beach, through dune landscapes and even pine forests. The cycle tours with the indicated distances correspond more or less to the distances of the walking routes.

Beaches:
Langevelderslag: Beautiful beach at 10 minutes by bike and 3 minutes by car. There is a large car park for 3 euros/day (as of 2019). A good restaurant with a large terrace, a very nice ice cream parlour and shops for beach items. Dogs are also allowed here.
Noordwijk: beautiful clean beaches with a blue seal of guarantee regarding the proven quality of the water and beach. Dogs are not allowed on the beach from 1 June to 1 September, from the first to the last beach restaurant. Dogs are very welcome in these two restaurants:(south) and(north)
Sporting activities:
Besides cycling, golfing is very popular. Near Sollasi (5 minutes by car) is the Tespelduyn golf club.
Kite and windsurfing can be found on all the beaches from Katwijk to Zandvoort.
Amusement parks, zoo etc.
For day trips with children we have the famous playground Linaeushof in Heemstede at 10 minutes distance, Madurodam in The Hague and various zoos in Amsterdam (Artis) and Rotterdam (Blijdorp).
Don't forget the Keukenhof, very close to Lisse. However, it is only open from the end of March to the beginning of May. Perhaps an idea for next year?
De Efteling is the oldest and most famous amusement park in the Netherlands, a paradise mainly for children and is 90 minutes away by car.
MuseumsToo much to mention.... The Hague, Amsterdam, Haarlem etc. ... For culture lovers, there is a lot to see and discover in the Netherlands and all within half an hour's drive: museums, castles, historic towns and of course the famous Dutch windmills in Zaanse Schans, for example.
Shopping:
Every Friday there is a fishmonger in the car park by the church with very tasty fresh fish, fresh fried fish, herrings etc. Highly recommended!
There is a florist on the road to Lisse on Fridays and Saturdays.
There are good shopping facilities nearby in Lisse and Noordwijk. In summer there is a summer market in Noordwijk aan Zee every Wednesday. Haarlem and Leiden have cosy markets on Saturdays.
Supermarkets can be found nearby in Noordwijkerhout. You can easily go by bike or, if you drive, you can go straight to the entrance of the Victoriberg car park for convenient shopping at Lidl or Albert Heyn.
Como&Co on the Oosterduinse lake is a 5-minute walk away and is located right next to the park. Always make a reservation! Best of all from Germany: There are also many restaurants in Lisse and Noordwijk, in the town and on the beach.
