Description
The Solaire boathouse is located in Kahnsdorf/Neukieritzsch in Leipzig's Neuseenland region and is situated directly on Lake Hain. Lake Hain is one of the few bodies of water where it is possible to build directly on the shore. The accommodation is therefore partly built in the water. The boathouse is suitable for water sports tourism, as there is a terrace with an adjoining jetty. This means that guests can arrive with their own boat, which can be brought into the water via a public slipway and then moored at the boathouse jetty. The name "Solaire" is based on the plan to provide a solar boat for use in the future.
Special features
The car park belonging to the property at the entrance gate offers the opportunity to park your own vehicle and any boat trailer. The cosy flat with a living space of 44m2 is located on the ground floor of the boathouse and has direct water access via the terrace to the jetty. A south-facing lawn invites you to sunbathe. The property is also suitable for children, as a playhouse with a swing and slide in the garden and a small beach area with access to the shallow water make for special play and bathing fun.
The living area with open-plan kitchen is flooded with light and offers a direct view of the lake. The modern kitchen is equipped with a hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. Flat-screen satellite TV and WLAN are available. The bathroom has a shower and hairdryer. In the bedroom, a comfortable double bed with a sleeping area of 180x200cm ensures restful nights. An extra bed for small children measuring 60x140cm and a high chair are available and can be provided on request. If required, two more people can sleep in the living area. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.
Holiday destination
Conveniently located close to the A72 motorway. Accessibility by public transport is also given by the bus line 101 from Borna to Zwenkau via Kahnsdorf. Shopping facilities are available in Borna and Rötha, which can be reached by car in 10 minutes. Within a radius of 25 to 30 km you can reach the cities of Altenburg and Leipzig, which are worth a visit with their zoo and many other tourist attractions. The Belantis amusement park, just 25 kilometres away, is a great experience for children.
Lake Hain is ideal for swimming, hiking and cycling. Cafés and restaurants are within walking distance. Other popular activities include stand-up paddling, boat tours and canoe trips. Equipment is available for hire at the harbour.

Location and surroundings of object
There are various catering and leisure facilities directly on Lake Hain. The boathouse is the third last house at the end of the southern lagoon. This is where the circular route around Lake Hain and Lake Haupitz begins. The first third is a natural path. The rest of the route is paved and ideal for inline skating, for example, as this path is closed to public traffic. There are several bathing bays along the circular route, which invite you to have fun in the water. The northern shore begins about half way round. In addition to catering facilities, there are various offers such as wake boarding, banana boat, stand up paddling and guided quad tours. An adventure centre is currently under construction. The resulting "Hain" settlement offers further beautiful bathing bays and Mediterranean-style buildings. If you follow the rest of the circular route, you will reach the harbour of the Kahnsdorf lagoon via a dam that separates Lake Kahnsdorf from Lake Hain. There is a canoe tunnel below the dam, which provides access to other lakes as far as Leipzig via the Pleiße. Before you reach the harbour, there is a public beach belonging to the lagoon. There are various catering facilities at the harbour. It is also possible to hire various boats, from pedalos and catamarans to barbecue boats. There is also a small playground behind the harbour. If you continue along the circular route, you will return to the Solaire boathouse. Before that, there is a spacious playground on the right-hand side and the Kahnsdorf estate with Schillerkaffe as another dining option. Shortly afterwards, a visit to the ice cream parlour is also recommended. The ice cream parlour is not directly visible from the circular route, so you should follow the signs and you will reach it directly after a short stretch of field. If you continue along the circular route, you will return directly to the boathouse.
Outside the circular route, there are various opportunities to visit the surrounding area and other lakes with bathing facilities by hiking or cycling.
