Hello, we are Marc and Sylvia Korff.
Our cosy Dutch-style flat is located by the water in the picturesque village of Kolhorn.
From the terrace you can enjoy the sun and look out over the water and the old region.
From Kolhorn you can reach the sea and the beach with 15 min.
Nearby is the town of Schagen where you can visit the West Frisian market every Thursday.
Several hiking and cycling tours also start from Kolhorn.
You can store your bicycles safely and dry in our shed.

Location and surroundings of object
The village of Colhorn, as it was called in 1573, was located on the Zuiderzee until 1844 and was a fishing village. Since the impoldering of the Groetpolder, the Waardpolder and the Wieringermeer, the village has been some 20 kilometres inland.
Remnants of the former situation can still be seen on the Westfriese Omringdijk.
There are still a few old boeten (barns) on the dike. This is where peat and other commodities used to be stored awaiting further transport inland. One of the peat sheds houses a museum.
Kolhorn is largely a state-protected village sight. The village also has a 17th-century village church, the Laurenskerk.
There is an opportunity to take an audio tour through Kolhorn at the Historical Museum Kolhorn 'de Turfschuur' to discover Kolhorn. You can enjoy a culinary lunch or dinner at restaurant 't Anker and a cup of coffee, a sandwich and artisanal ice cream at Bistro Egelantier.
From Kolhorn, you can follow various cycling and hiking routes or take a tour along the Westfriese Omringdijk. Water sports enthusiasts are also welcome here.
3 times a year there is a Night Market in Kolhorn. In 2024, these will be there again in June, July and August dates are not yet known.
