Description
Our house is a stylish detached family home, full of original 1930s details. It is a very bright house thanks to the many windows and French doors to the garden. We have a living room, dining room with open kitchen including cooking island, 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 2 separate toilets. In our front garden we have a trampoline for the children.
In the back garden there is a covered veranda with wood-burning stove and 6-seater lounge sofa where the summer evenings can be enjoyed. Next to the veranda is a sun deck with lounge set to enjoy the summer days. There is a large mobile parasol to shade the lounge set. This can also be wheeled to the dining table so that meals can be eaten in the shade at the 6-seater dining table in the garden.
On the ground floor is an ensuite living room with open kitchen, hall and toilet.
Also on the ground floor is a utility room with washing machine, dryer and extra fridge and freezer.
On the first floor we have a bathroom, separate toilet, master bedroom with king-size bed (180x200) including air conditioning!
On the first floor are also the two children's rooms. One room has a single bunk bed (200x90). This room is also air-conditioned. The other room a low bunk bed (200x90). A camp bed is available.
A steep staircase takes you to the second floor where you will find the fourth bedroom with a queen-size bed (160x200) and desk. The double bed can also be retracted into a single bed, creating more space for the work/study room with desk and chair.
In total there are 4 bedrooms
Our children are 8 and 10 years old and our house is suitable for a family with young children (but it is not baby proof). We have toys for boys and girls that can be used.
The ground floor and garden have been completely renovated in the last 2 years.
The bedroom windows and the French doors from the kitchen to the garden are fitted with mosquito nets to keep the insects out. The air conditioners in the two bedrooms provide cooling, making it a lovely house for summer holidays to enjoy the sun in the garden, seek shade when needed. And sleep wonderfully cool and insect-free.
We will leave children's toys available for the children to play with. We do like to get acquainted first via e.g. facetime.

Location and surroundings of object
Our house is located in a cosy quiet neighbourhood in the green village of Heiloo with one of the highest living standards in the Netherlands. The location is ideal for a wonderful holiday in nature/beach and beautiful cities are just around the corner:
- 7 km from beach and dunes
- 1 km from the forest
- 100 metres from shops and restaurants
- 250 metres from children's farm and playground
- 5 km from Alkmaar (with its cheese market)
- 30 km from Amsterdam
There are many shops around the corner (with butcher, supermarket, bakery, delicatessen, fish etc.) and within 200 metres you will find many restaurants, including Japanese, Indian, casual eateries and the best Italian ice creams in the region.
It is a 10-minute walk to Heiloo train station, where, among other things, a direct train to the centre of Amsterdam takes 30 minutes.
Cars can be parked for free in front of our house and there are electric car charging points across the street.
Bicycles can be placed in our locked shed in the garden and there is a socket for charging electric bikes.
Free parking in front of the door or at our house is easy.

Highly recommended
We had a very pleasant stay in this typical Dutch house.
The house was super clean and equipped with modern technology (including air conditioning, dishwasher, washing machine, etc.). We felt comfortable right away. The garden is lovingly maintained and offers a good opportunity for dining or cozy gatherings with a glass of wine in the evening.
It was a very good accommodation for our whole family (6 people - 2 children aged 10 and 12, as well as grandparents). The location was very convenient with shopping options nearby, yet in a quiet area, as well as a bike rental just 10 minutes away, as well as train connections to other cities like Amsterdam.
The beach was easily reachable by bike (about 20 minutes) or by car. On the other hand, one could reach the beautiful canal city of Alkmaar in just a few minutes, where we rented a boat to explore the city from the water independently. It was very exciting with the many low-lying bridges.
The landlords are super friendly. The communication was easy with immediate responses to questions and with many helpful tips.
We can definitely recommend a stay in this beautiful house.

A successful relaxing vacation with children
Lotte's holiday home is simply great. The house has everything a holiday home should have. The house is fully equipped, the kitchen with many different spices & oils. The bathroom is fully equipped with a shower & bathtub & towels. The house is very clean and what we really liked is that there are mosquito nets on every window. The highlight is that all rooms are equipped with air conditioning. And in the garden, you can beautifully enjoy the evening together outside. From Heiloo, it is not far to the next big city, e.g., Amsterdam, Haarlem, Alkmaar, etc. The beach Egmond aan Zee is our favorite beach, which is only 10 minutes away by car. Communication with Lotte worked wonderfully. We received the deposit back shortly after departure. We felt very comfortable and are thrilled with this holiday home. We would recommend this house at any time. Thank you for the great time.

Great vacation in Heiloo
We had a very nice time in Lotte's house in Heiloo. The location is really great, as it is quiet but the next larger cities and the beach are easily and quickly accessible. The house is very stylishly furnished, light-flooded, and very clean. It offers everything one needs; from a fully equipped kitchen to a washing machine and dryer. There were also toys in the upper children's rooms that we were allowed to use. Towels and bed linens were provided. A beautiful garden also invites you to unwind at the wood stove at the end of the day. Really great! Shopping opportunities are within walking distance, and a small park with a petting zoo nearby is perfect for families with children. Around the corner, there is a bike rental, and the hosts also provide good tips for restaurants in the area. In general, the contact with the hosts was very nice, and they were always easily and quickly reachable. The payment processing was straightforward, and we received the deposit back super quickly.
Overall, our stay at Lotte's house was very pleasant and we can only highly recommend it. A great house, a nice host family, and a wonderful country with much to explore and see!

Relaxing and Convenient Stay in Beautiful Heiloo
We had a wonderful stay at this holiday home in Heiloo. The infrastructure is excellent – shopping facilities are just a minute's walk away, which is very convenient. I was particularly impressed by the great ice cream shop nearby and the convenient train connection to Amsterdam.
The garden of the house is a real highlight. It is beautifully designed and offers a perfect environment for relaxation. There is also ample parking right in front of the house, which is very practical.
The location of the house is ideal for nature lovers. There is a forest nearby, and the beaches of Egmond aan Zee, Castricum, and Bergen aan Zee are easily accessible. You can rent bicycles just two houses down, making it even easier to explore the area.
The house itself was very clean and had a stylish interior where we felt very comfortable. The hosts were very nice and easily reachable, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
We were a group of four adults and two children, and the house accommodated us perfectly. We stayed for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
Overall, my stay at this holiday home in Heiloo was very pleasant, and I can highly recommend it!
