Our modern two-story holiday house with terrace and balcony has a living area of approx. 90 square meters on the ground floor and 65 square meters on the upper floor.
It can be occupied by 5 people. The house is situated on a flat plot of approx. 1,100 m2, which is fenced, partly also by hedges and climbing plants. There are fruit and old deciduous trees on it (maple, eucalyptus). Our holiday home was built in 2022 according to the latest state of the art (thermal and cold insulation, soundproofing, solar energy for hot water preparation).
Upon arrival, you can park your car in the parking spaces in front of the holiday home. Alternatively, you can also park your car on the property.
From the entrance hall, you enter the spacious living room (approx. 40 m2) with living and dining area. This is furnished with beautiful old French furniture (dining table, cabinet). To the left of the entrance hall are the master bedroom (double bed), the modern bathroom (Italian shower, washbasin, WC), the utility room (cellar), and the kitchen.
Via the pleasantly wide wooden staircase you reach the upper floor with television and comfortable couch. From here you access the second modern bathroom (Italian shower, washbasin, WC), the children's bedroom (2 beds), and another bedroom (1 bed). The "pictures" give a good overview of the modern holiday home, its rooms and terrace as well as balcony.
The house is fully equipped for 5 people including bed linen.

Lévignacq is a charming French village in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and the Landes department.
Our holiday home is located on the edge of the old village centre of Levignacq, an old, small, quiet village between Bordeaux and Biarritz. The village of around 400 inhabitants is surrounded by pine forests stretching as far as the sea and is mentioned in the regional Michelin Guide for its typical Landes character and church, which is well worth a visit. Levignacq is located about 15 kilometres by road from the Atlantic coast inland.
The sandy beaches of CONTIS PLAGE and CAP DE L'HOMY - in our opinion some of the most beautiful on the 250 km long "Silver Coast" of Aquitaine - can be reached in approx. 12 minutes by car on good roads.
In the village of Levignacq you will find a grocery and general shop as well as a restaurant opposite the 11th century church. Fresh bread (baguettes, croissants), fresh fruit and vegetables are guaranteed there every day.
Levignacq is very idyllic with wide, well-kept parks along the river Vignacq on its way to the Atlantic. We particularly recommend the daily! Market in the neighbouring village of Lit-et-Mixe with freshly caught fish delicacies, fruit, vegetables, cheese and typical regional crafts. In Lit-et-Mixe or in St. Julien-en-Borne - also in the direct neighbourhood of Levignacq - you will find larger supermarkets with the best international range of goods.
You will also find typical French boutiques and shops selling all the essentials and non-essentials.
All the Atlantic beaches of MIMIZAN-PLAGE, LESPECIER, CONTIS-PLAGE, CAP DE L'HOMY and GIRONS-PLAGE are easy to reach and, with a mild, generally not too hot climate, are wide, fine sandy, rarely crowded and there are also supervised sections in the high season.
The clean beaches of CONTIS PLAGE, CAP DE L'HOMY and LESPECIER are characterised by the highest bathing water quality and are among the cleanest in Europe according to a transnational evaluation by the EU Commission in Brussels (see: Reports by the EU Directorate-General for the Environment on the quality of bathing water in the EU).
Night-time temperatures are more pleasant than in the south of France on the Cote d'Azur, for example. We recommend bringing an anorak and sturdy shoes so that you are equipped for hiking through the pine forests - after all, this is the largest pine forest in Europe (Les Landes) - and dune hiking. More distant destinations include Biarritz, Bayonne, St Jean-de-Luz, San Sebastian, Lourdes, the Pyrenees mountain range, one of the highest in Europe, and Bordeaux with its wine regions (St Émilion, Haut-Médoc, Entre-Deux-Mers).
In the immediate vicinity of Levignacq you can reach the largest lakes in France (Hourtin and Cazaux), the highest sand dune in Pilat (Pyla) near Arcachon, the most famous wine region in the world with its appellation of origin (that of Bordeaux in the Gironde) and the famous wine village of St Emilion, the basin of Archachon, Dax (bullfights) and much more in a short time.

Wonderful holiday destination
We have just returned from our 14-day stay in Lévignacq. It was wonderful. We spent a great time with our 2 adult daughters in the spacious, modern house. The house is well-equipped, with beautiful furniture to boot, lacking nothing. The garden, a terrace, a spacious shady balcony, modern rooms and bathrooms are simply great. The place Lévignacq is enchanting - a wonderful old church by an idyllic clear cool stream (with an old French washhouse), a shop that has almost everything you need quickly, and a nice restaurant-hotel with a super friendly hostess. It's not far to the beaches. We even took the route there on the wonderfully developed bike paths. A day trip to San Sebastian, a rowing tour through magical forests - in short, a full recommendation! Thank you for the lovely time.

Vacation for Well-Being
The holiday home with its 2 floors, a large terrace, and beautiful balcony immediately invites you to feel at home. The path to the Atlantic coast leads through picturesque villages with typical rural character. The Atlantic offers plenty of water sports (surfing, stand-up paddling, kitesurfing, wingsurfing). We felt very comfortable and took the opportunity to explore the wine region around Bordeaux, the Pyrenees (Lourdes, Pau), and the Basque Country (San Sebastian). We will come back, then with our bicycles.

Beautiful holiday home
The house is in impeccable condition! Everything is new, the property is fenced (perfect for families with children) and there is plenty of space! Even with 4 people, we always had the opportunity to "be on our own" and relax. The location is great. We could go shopping in the village on foot and explore the area by bike! The beach of Contis is quickly reached and beautiful. A perfect house if you are used to the high standard of Germany. We are looking forward to the next vacation in this beautiful property.

Relaxing family vacation
We really enjoyed our summer vacation with our two children (3 and 10 years old) in the beautiful and spacious holiday home with a large terrace and garden. The modern two-story holiday home is cozy and lovingly furnished and equipped with all the essentials. The town center is within walking distance and offers a small grocery store as well as an inviting restaurant where one can eat very well. The adjacent pine forests and beautiful, endless sandy beaches invite you to linger and unwind from the stresses of everyday life.
From Lévignacq, there are well-laid-out cycling paths where you can take various trips in the shade of the forests (nearby villages or beaches).
In addition, we had great full-day trips to Biarritz and San Sebastian thanks to the good connections.
We will definitely book the holiday home again for 3 weeks in 2025.
