Description
This family-friendly accommodation is located in the Katoro holiday residence in Croatia. The residence is located directly by the sea not far from the beautiful town of Umag. The town centre of Umag is only a few minutes away by car. The sea is just a stone's throw away, making the holiday residence ideal for families. Entertainment for young and old, a playground, sports facilities and various catering options round off the perfect family holiday. For those who prefer a dip in the pool, there is a large swimming pool for adults and older children. There is also a great children's pool for the little ones. While the parents work off their energy with sports such as tennis, cycling or horse riding, the children can have fun at the Mini Club. In the evening you will find restaurants with delicious food and a great entertainment team at the resort.
The Katoro Classic flat offers space for a maximum of 5 people. It has a bedroom with a double bed and a living room with satellite TV. If required, a sofa bed and a pull-out armchair in the living room offer three additional sleeping places. The flat has a well-equipped kitchenette with a cooker with extractor fan, crockery, cutlery, saucepans, microwave, coffee machine and fridge with freezer compartment. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, hairdryer, WC and washbasin. The terrace/balcony with table and chairs invites you to relax in comfort, while the children can let off steam in the playground or by the pool. If you would like to store important documents or valuables, there is a safe in the flat. Air conditioning, bed linen and towels are also provided free of charge. Tourist tax is included. On request, breakfast or half board can also be booked on site. Another plus is the free WiFi in the flat. Travelling time from the Croatian border approx. 20 minutes. Note: If you need more than one accommodation, this is usually possible with us, as we have several properties of the same type.
DAY OF ARRIVAL + LENGTH OF STAY
In the period from 01.06.-24.08.2024 the minimum length of stay is 5 nights (daily arrival possible). In the remaining period, the minimum stay is 3 nights (daily arrival possible). Please note: If for any reason you are unable to arrive on the scheduled arrival day, it is of course also possible to check in on the following day (please let us know before you arrive). The same applies if you wish to depart earlier. Departure the day before is also possible in this case. However, the rental period/rental price specified for booking remains unchanged.
BEACH
The beach is just a few metres from the Sol Katoro holiday complex. The beach stretches along an extensive promenade, either plateau or pebble beach. Here you can enjoy the sun and swim. The paved paths offer families with pushchairs ideal conditions for a comfortable and cosy day at the beach. There are various leisure activities on the beach: Windsurfing, pedalos, banana boat and much more. The clean water has been awarded the Blue Flag by the FEE (Foundation of Environmental Education).
POOL
The beautiful pool area is 1000m2 and is located directly by the sea. There is a children's pool with a water feature and a great pool for adults and older children. Sun loungers and parasols are available free of charge in the large area around the pool.
FAMILY FRIENDLY
In the low and high season, a group of experienced entertainers will liven up your stay in a gentle way. Every day there are various sports programmes such as water gymnastics, football or volleyball and for the little ones (5-12 years) there is the Mini Club with daily attractions. There is a playground right next to the beach. In the evening there are various programmes with live music, dancing and magic. If you need a baby cot, you can hire one free of charge at reception.
LEISURE AND SPORT
If you want to keep fit on holiday, you are spoilt for choice: tennis courts, cycle paths and walking trails await you. In addition, the entertainment team puts together a varied fitness programme for every day with water gymnastics, aerobics, group dances and much more. There are also ping-pong tables in the holiday village and a mini-golf course nearby. Golf, horse riding or football could also be part of your daily programme. If you prefer water sports, you can hire a pedalo or jet ski, go canoeing, banana boating or windsurfing.
SHOPPING
The resort is located just a short distance from the centre of Umag. There you will find various boutiques and other shops where you can fulfil your every wish. If you only need something small, you can also shop in the mini-market at the holiday resort.
CATERING
The accommodation has a well-equipped kitchen with cooker, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, coffee machine and fridge. Shopping facilities are also close by. The holiday complex has a restaurant serving a wide variety of dishes. There is also a pizzeria, a beach restaurant, a bakery, a fast food stand and a snack bar. If you would like to make use of breakfast or half board, you are welcome to book this on site (advance booking is not necessary).

LOCATION
The holiday village borders directly on the sea and is therefore ideal for families with small children. It has a favourable geographical location for excursions to Umag, Pula and Slovenia, for example. The famous Istralandia water park and the Brijuni Islands are also nearby.
LOCATION AND SURROUNDINGS
The small town of Umag with its harbour is a well-known business and tourist centre in Istria. A long time ago, the Roman nobility decided to use Umag as a summer residence. This is still visible today in the pretty Venetian houses, the town walls and the towers. In the town centre you will find many different shops, from boutiques to food shops and a shopping centre. You will also find various restaurants and cafés in the pretty streets of the old town centre. Explore Umag by bike. There are specialised shops in the town that will provide you with the right equipment. If you like travelling at night, a visit to the Casino Elite is a good idea. In addition to the usual games of chance, you will find good music and fresh drinks there. Visit the oldest lighthouse Savudrija-Salvore on the Adriatic, for example during a bike tour. Perhaps you will be lucky enough to be in Umag during an ATP tennis tournament at the famous ATP stadium in Stella Maris. Between the two harbour towns of Umag and Pula there are several recommendable towns that are certainly worth a visit. Fazana, Rovinj, Vrsar, Porec or even Pula and Umag itself offer numerous restaurants, shopping opportunities and historical buildings that are certainly worth a visit. Various amusement parks such as Istralandia, Aquacolors or the Glavani climbing park offer great opportunities to have fun with the whole family. For nature lovers, we recommend a visit to the Brijuni Islands or the Jama-Grotta Beradine. Fish lovers are in the right place in this region! Here you can find all kinds of fish, which is prepared in many different ways. You will also find good wine in Croatia. So if you want to indulge yourself, this is the place to be. There is also plenty of entertainment in the evening. Croatians love parties, music and socialising, whether in a discotheque, on the beach promenade or in a small alley. So your evening entertainment is guaranteed. The hinterland of the coastal strip offers many forests, cycle paths and hiking trails, so those seeking peace and quiet or sports enthusiasts will also get their money's worth. The famous weekly markets are usually held daily in Porec, Rovinj and Pula.
