The Sophie is a very beautiful vacation apartment with great amenities. This includes tasteful furnishings, a kitchen with at least everything you need, and a bathroom where everything is there and also works (!). Super also the beds, 2x Smart-TV, plenty of space and storage, the short walk to the car, and the fenced area in front of the house for the child with fur (only used for urgent cases). The two of us and our dog felt very comfortable. The apartment is barrier-free (no steps, wide doors, flat shower tray), even though we didn't need that. Witzwort is a bit sleepy, but ideal for relaxing, and it's really not far to the larger towns (Tönning, Friedrichstadt, Husum, etc.). And on top: super nice landlords! There are some nearby (5-10 min by car) accesses to the dike, where you can relax and walk the dog (on a leash of course, as there are a thousand sheep around) and a few designated dog beaches. The National Park Center Wattforum and the harbor in Tönning are a must, Friedrichstadt is quite nice with its small houses and the canals, St. Peter Ording is quite touristy, but good for shopping or eating, the zoo there is surely great for families with children (ok for "older" people), the family lagoon in Büsum is grand for a cappuccino or spritz right by the sea (or at the mudflat, depending on the tide) even though it was too cold for swimming. Those who have a fishing license (and the additional card for Schleswig-Holstein) can find some nice fishing spots via hejfish (tip: Polder-Westerkoog, 10 €/day). We have eaten very well several times at the "Roten Haubarg," but also in Tönning at the harbor. And in the shop of the dairy Nordmilch across from the property entrance, there is a nice selection of cheese and of course other dairy products, as well as lemonade, honey, etc. So overall a "5-star plus" recommendation for a relaxed vacation - but for those who want it, also with rubber boots and a lot of wind in their hair ;-)

We were in this accommodation for the second time and are once again totally thrilled. The landlords are very nice and helpful. The amenities are excellent and we missed nothing. We would love to come back!

We spent a very nice week in Witzwort. We were warmly welcomed by the host on the day of arrival and received a brief introduction to our accommodation. The apartment is very cozy and tastefully furnished and very well equipped. A beautiful bouquet of flowers was also ready for our welcome. The fenced garden right in front of the front door was sufficient for our dogs (Galgos). We would love to come back.

We wished for exactly this kind of accommodation for our short relaxation trip. Far away from the tourist hustle and bustle of St. Peter Ording, yet easily accessible by car to enjoy the beach. The accommodation was great and tastefully decorated, a very old house wonderfully restored, so we were impressed and felt very comfortable.
Very friendly hostess, who lives nearby and is easily accessible. Great bed! Also, a wonderfully equipped kitchen and a real farm with animals all around.

We spent a wonderful week in Witzwort, on the day of arrival we were warmly welcomed by the hostess and were given a brief explanation and introduction to our accommodation. The furnishings are cozy and very tasteful, the kitchen is more than generously equipped, so that we could cater for ourselves excellently. The accommodation was clean and we found everything necessary for washing and hanging laundry. The garden was a small and manageable place for our anxious dog to enjoy the great weather with us. However, anyone who owns a four-legged escape artist should not leave the dog unattended, as it would theoretically be possible for smaller dogs to squeeze through some spots under the fence. The next shopping facilities can be found in Friedrichstadt, barely 10 minutes away, and thanks to the spa rules, they are even open on Sundays. Sankt Peter Ording can also be reached by car in about half an hour and offered us a nice day at the beach. However, our landlady also gave us a valuable tip for a nearby bathing spot, which is mainly used by locals and therefore is very pleasant and not overcrowded. In addition, you can easily take the dog with you and stay comfortably on the lawn near the water. We were very satisfied and received very warm and hospitable care.

Die Sophie ist eine sehr schöne Ferienwohnung mit toller Ausstattung. Dazu gehört die geschmackvolle Einrichtung, eine Küche mit mindestens allem, was man braucht und ein Bad, in dem alles da ist und auch funktioniert (!). Super auch die Betten, 2x Smart-TV, viel Platz und Stauraum, der kurze Weg zum Auto und der eingezäunte Auslauf vor dem Haus für das Kind mit Fell (nur benutzt für dringende Fälle). Wir zwei und unser Hund haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist übrigens barrierefrei (keine Stufen, breite Türen, flache Duschwanne), auch wenn wir das nicht gebraucht haben. Witzwort ist bisschen verschlafen, aber ideal zum Erholen und in die größeren Orte (Tönning, Friedrichstadt, Husum, usw.) ist es wirklich nicht weit. Und on top: super nette Vermieter! Es gibt einige nahe (5-10 Min mit dem Auto) Zugänge zum Deich, wo man schön entspannt mit dem Hund spazieren gehen kann (an der Leine natürlich, laufen ja tausend Schafe rum) und ein paar ausgewiesene Hundestrände. Das Nationalpark-Zentrum Wattforum und der Hafen in Tönning sind ein Muss, Friedrichstadt ist ganz nett mit seinen kleinen Häuschen und den Grachten, St. Peter Ording ist ganz schön touristisch, aber gut zum Shoppen oder Essen, der Zoo dort sicher toll für Familien mit Kindern (ok für "Ältere"), die Familienlagune in Büsum ist grandios für einen Cappuccino oder Spritz direkt am Meer (oder am Watt, je nach Tide) auch wenn es zu kalt war zum Baden. Wer einen Angelschein hat (und die Zusatzkarte für Schleswig-Holstein) kann z.B. über hejfish einige schöne Angelplätze finden (Tipp: Polder-Westerkoog, 10 €/Tag). Wir haben mehrmals sehr gut im "Roten Haubarg" gegessen, aber auch in Tönning am Hafen. Und im Shop der Molkerei Nordmilch gegenüber der Grundstückseinfahrt gibt's eine schöne Käseauswahl und natürlich andere Milchprodukte, außerdem Limo, Honig usw. Also rundum eine "5 Sterne plus"-Empfehlung für einen entspannten Urlaub - aber wer's will auch mit Gummistiefeln und viel Wind in den Haaren ;-)
