With direct water views and a unique location right on the Schlei fjord, the "Wiking-Koje 1" at Pionierhafen Schleswig offers the perfect place for your vacation.
The 116m² apartment features an open-plan living and dining area with a kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a terrace.
The fully equipped kitchen leaves nothing to be desired, and in the living room, you can relax on the sofa in front of the smart TV at the end of your vacation days.
Two of the three bedrooms each offer a comfortable double bed (180x200cm) and blackout curtains for restful nights.
One bedroom has a flat-screen TV.
The third bedroom has two single beds (90x200cm each) and blackout curtains.
One of the two bathrooms includes a hairdryer and a shower.
And the absolute highlight: a Finnish sauna! Here you can warm up and relax after long walks on the beach.
The second bathroom also has a shower.
On the terrace, you can relax and unwind in the beach chair on balmy evenings.
A private parking space is available directly in front of the house.
You can store your bicycles in the shared, open bicycle storage room.
A washing machine is available for your free use on the ground floor of the neighboring Fjord and Schleikojen houses.
Sustainability is a priority at Pionierhafen, which is why 77% of the energy is generated by geothermal sources.
Thanks to its unique location on the Schlei fjord, you can also bring your own boat and moor it at a berth for a fee directly at the Pionierhafen.

There are two electric vehicle charging stations near the accommodation for the Schlei, Wiking, and Fjord cabins.
These are available for all apartments in the buildings.
The development of the newly built "Am Pionierhafen" district is largely complete. No further major construction work is expected. Some areas, especially the outdoor spaces in the neighborhood, are still undergoing visual changes.

For all bookings with a stay from April 1, 2026, the city of Schleswig charges an overnight tax of 5% on the total price excluding VAT. This will be shown on the booking confirmation in addition to the total price.

Please note that the apartment is not suitable for tradespeople, and we cannot accept bookings for this purpose.

Often, the stunning view of the Schlei fjord comes free of charge. Schleswig is a city steeped in culture – and at the harbor, you're right in the heart of it. Watch the vibrant activity at the harbor or enjoy the beautiful weather on a boat trip on the Schlei. Gottorf Castle, the ancient Viking settlement of Haithabu, Schleswig Cathedral with its famous Brüggemann Altarpiece, and the fishing village of Holm are all nearby destinations. Families are also well catered for: In nearby Tolk, there's a family amusement park offering fun for all ages. The neighboring towns of Flensburg, Kappeln, Husum, and Rendsburg are also easily accessible. The beaches of the Baltic Sea coast or the dunes of the North Sea in Sankt Peter-Ording are just as easily reached. In the immediate vicinity, you'll also find Café Pio – your new favorite spot right on the Pionierhafen harbor in Schleswig. Eine sehr schöne Ferienwohnung mit kleinen Mängeln in der Ausstattung. Ein großes Manko sind fehlender Insektenschutz > Spinnen- und Mückeninvasion.

Everything worked perfectly regarding the booking, communication, and security deposit refund. The entire residential complex is very well maintained. However, the Wiking-Koje house is adjacent to a large construction site on the other side of the street, where work will likely continue six days a week for the next two years. It only bothered us a little, and that's just how it is when something beautiful and new is to be created. The apartment itself is very tastefully furnished, delivers everything that the description and photos promise, offers enough space and storage, and was very clean. However, we also like to "cook properly" on vacation. For this, we missed a few kitchen utensils, especially storage space in the not optimally designed kitchen. In the bike shed, the bicycles cannot be locked. We observed some holiday guests who preferred to leave their bikes on the bike rack of their cars. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay in the Viking cabin, and we will definitely come back, this time with our "kitchen box" packed a little fuller...

Super short-term booking worked great, someone always answers the phone, very helpful staff. The location of berth 1 is very quiet, very close to the water, and the apartment is warm and decorated with attention to detail and extremely clean; all appliances, etc. work perfectly and are very new. The entire complex is very well maintained. The apartment is very spacious and offers enough space and storage. Everything you need is within walking distance (maximum 10 minutes).
