Description
The Bahnwärterhaus am See is a listed former railway caretaker's house dating back to 1895. With 90 sqm of living space and 40 sqm of terrace, this is a holiday home for lovers who love the charm of properties that exude the air of times gone by. After a change of ownership in 2022, the goat shed was converted into a modern bathroom, the original concrete floor was tiled and a kitchen matching the style of the house was installed, and a large terrace with a view of the chapel and lake was built in 2023.
On the ground floor there is a living room with satellite TV and WiFi, dining room with wood-burning stove, kitchen with all necessary appliances, bathroom with walk-in shower, underfloor heating and WC, guest WC, utility room with washing machine and cleaning equipment.
On the upper floor there is a second living room open to the staircase and a closed bedroom.
The adjoining shed is not part of the rental property, but can be used to store bicycles by arrangement.
Three minutes to the lake with Goldbach beach
Five minutes to Goldbach's recommended pizzeria.
Ten minutes' walk through the lakeside park to the thermal baths.
Twenty minutes' walk along the lakeside promenade to Landungsplatz with a wide range of restaurants and shops in the town centre.
Bus stop directly opposite (city bus and regional transport)
The Lake Constance cycle path leads right past the house.
Hikers are immediately surrounded by unspoilt, varied nature.
Railway guard houses have the characteristic of being located on a railway line. This and the road from Überlingen to Sipplingen lie between the lake and the property. However, the traffic is generally not perceived as a nuisance on the terrace.
It is absolutely quiet at night. Nothing can be heard in the house itself.
House suitable for 2 adults, not handicapped accessible (steps), unsuitable for children (property open to the road, etc.). No pets allowed. No smoking.

Beautifully restored railwayman's house with a view of the lake.
We felt very comfortable here. The house is very well equipped, spacious, with a large terrace overlooking the lake.

Super beautiful house with lake view.
We had a very nice week in a great house. The furnishings are decorated with attention to detail and leave nothing to be desired. The beautiful view from the terrace directly overlooking Lake Constance invites you to sunbathe and relax. The landlords are very nice and are always available to answer questions.
