The space
Closer to the ocean you will not come in this 12 sqm cottage with a sauna wall to wall on a smaller island (Söderholmen) about 1.5 hours from Stockholm City. The cottage is located directly adjacent to the jetty deck with its own private docks. The owner is on the property about 2 weekdays a week, otherwise you are yourself on 10000 square meters. The cottage has a step set (small fridge, 2 cooking plates and sink), kitchen table with 2 chairs, 120 cm bed and narrower bunk bed on top. The sauna has ocean view and there is unlimited carved wood.

Location and surroundings of object
A picturesque Swedish island with pristine nature, perfect for relaxation and outdoor adventures.
The rent includes the cottage, free access to the wood-fired sauna wall to wall, sea kayaks and rowing boat. On the property there is also access to the outdoor ping pong table, a smaller outdoor gym, full size badminton court/mini tennis/small basketball court further into the plot, all outdoors. It is also possible to use the owner's outdoor kitchen where there is a barbecue stove.
Other things to note
Please note that the cottage is of a simple standard, as is the toilet with a separate. The cottage and sauna are from the late '80s. The house is on the edge of the beach on a larger property with several houses, of which the owner lives in one of the houses when there, others are most often empty.
The property is set on a smaller island with only a 15's of properties, of which only the neighbor to the south is where weekdays. There are 4-5 km of cleared paths on the island, with lots of beautiful viewpoints in all weather conditions. Map for this is available. Bed sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases and towels are included, while the guest is responsible for cleaning. The toilet is only for you guests and is a bit up on the property connected to a workshop. There's also a storage room with a larger freezer option if needed, as well as sporting goods. One simpler cold water shower outside the sauna. Possibility to use the owner's outdoor shower with hot water is available.
Running water is only available until about November and from mid-March (i.e. not at minus degrees) due to freezing risk otherwise. There is a hand pump adjacent to the wood storage that can be used all year round. In winter, you use the sauna and swim in the ocean to keep the body clean. The accommodation cannot be booked in summer time, i.e. from midsummer until the first week of August. Neighborhood is located to the south, but not to the other directions. It is the nature experience one is here for in combination with the activities, the luxury consists close to the ocean and nature.
To get out, there are the following options:
1) Own boat (can be moored at the jetty) or kayak from Stavsnäs
2) Go with Waxholmsbolaget with the SL card free of charge to Aspö Brygga (near Nämdö). Aspö is a close island, from which the host arranges private boat taxi for 200kr or free rowing boat. During winter time, you can walk on the Ice to Söderholmen where the cottage is, or ice skating, a real adventure!!!
3) Go with regular boattaxi (140 sek/person) from Stavsnäs Vinterhamn with "Stavsnäs Båttaxi" (Fri-Sun only) or "Solberga Båttaxi" (not late autumn/winter). Enter Söderholmen Östra. Unfortunately these have very limited time tables.
4) Rent your own taxi boat (800kr easy trip) with Solberga Båttaxi, or Stavsnäs boat taxi for SEK 1270
5) Shot with the host appointed boat driver from Stavsnäs for SEK 400.
6) Book the host for a ride in his boat, SEK 200 from Stavsnäs or 100 from Aspö. If it works.
In the cabin there are; spices, olive oil and vinegar, coffee, tea, tea, oat milk, some bread, butter, ketchup, some pasta so you can get by.
Check in at 2 pm and check out at 12pm

- You will be refunded the booking amount minus the cancellation fee, if you cancel the booking at least 1 day before the planned check-in until 12 o’clock midday CET (Central European time). For cancellations which are made less than 1 day before check-in, the booking amount minus the price for the first night and the cancellation fee will be refunded.

Hi friends, I hereby invite you to my paradise. I'm here two days a week in another house, rarely when you are there, all year around outdoor fixing things and supporting you as good as I can. Always seeing to that you atleast will give credit as "at least expected". It's a waste leaving the cottage empty, so I hope you will come and stay and enjoy!
