The town of Mijas is located on the Costa del Sol between Malaga (approx. 20 min by car) and Marbella (approx. 30 min by car). From here you can make wonderful day trips into the mountains, e.g. to the historic little town of Ronda with its breathtaking location above a huge gorge. For a perfect beach day, there are numerous beaches nearby (4 km). We recommend a hire car, as the villa is located in a hilly residential area and the nearest shops and restaurants are approx. 2 km away.
Mijas borders the coastal town of Fuengirola, which has a cute town centre with plenty of shopping opportunities, a beach and a promenade.
