Discover Garz, an idyllic village in the Elbe-Havel-Winkel, a landscape conservation area. The Havel, one of the most beautiful rivers in Germany, flows past the village.
Garz is located on the edge of a 283 km2 polder area in which the Elbe and Havel floods can accumulate over a large area. It is the largest contiguous wetland area in Central Europe and an ideal resting place for migratory birds.

*Gülper See - resting place for thousands of birds, especially recommended in spring and autumn
* Tangermünde with castle complex and history of Charles the 4th approx. 35km
*Rathenow with the optics park and the optics museum. approx. 25km
*Stölln with the oldest aerodrome in the world, Otto Lilienthal Museum and a disused IL62 *Lady Agnes* for sightseeing approx. 20km
*Großderschau with the Colonist Museum approx. 20km
* Havelberg with the cathedral, Prignitz Museum and House of Rivers. approx. 15km
From Garz there are many excursion possibilities that can be reached by bike.
The Havel cycle path runs through Garz and is popular with many cyclists.
from Havelberg you can reach the Elbe cycle path, which is very popular, as a large part of the route runs on the dykes and you therefore have a wonderful view of the landscape.
