Description
Ahoy and welcome to your dream holiday flat in Hooksiel. The 73-sqm penthouse "Ahoy", classified with 5 stars by the German Tourism Association, is located in Haus Memmert in the newly built holiday complex "Hookser Perle".
The flat can be reached comfortably via a lift and offers space for 4 people (and additionally a toddler up to 3 years). The furnishings are of high quality and modern, much emphasis has been placed on design and functionality.
The heart of the flat is the light-flooded living-dining area with open kitchen. Two large sliding doors pave the way from here to the spacious south-facing balcony (17.5 sqm), from which you have a great view and can see not only the dyke but also the masts of the sailing boats in the Hooksiel marina.
The living room is equipped with a comfortable sofa with long chair and smart TV. Cable TV and Netflix are included, and you can also use your streaming services. A Bluetooth music system and free Wi-Fi are also available.
The modern kitchen is very functionally designed and also well suited for large people. In addition to the dishwasher, the equipment also includes an oven, induction hob, microwave, toaster, coffee machines (filter coffee and Nespresso), fridge with freezer compartment and other useful kitchen aids.
Comfortable seating furniture is available on the balcony. Due to the location in the attic, you can enjoy the sun on the two available loungers completely undisturbed.
The modern bathroom with ground-level shower also offers a luxurious highlight. After a hike on cold days, you can warm up in the infrared sauna integrated in the bathroom and relax with atmospheric ambient lighting. The two bedrooms are equipped with a double bed, wardrobe with sliding doors and smart TV. The beds are already made for you on arrival, towels etc. are provided with the obligatory linen package. A cot with mattress (please bring your own children's bed linen), a mobile changing table and a high chair for children are also available.
In addition, a washing machine, iron, ironing board and children's high chair are at your disposal. The flat includes a storage room for your bicycles with charging facilities for e-bikes and, during the summer season, a personal and free beach chair on the sandy beach between beach house 1 and the outer harbour.

Location and surroundings of object
The coastal resort of Hooksiel is located about 14 km north of Wilhelmshaven and is very easy to reach via the A29 motorway. With a length of approx. 3.5 km, the beach is one of the largest beaches on the East Frisian peninsula and, in addition to the classic sandy beach with its beach chairs, also offers a near-natural beach, a dog beach and a nudist area. There are also several children's playgrounds along the beach promenade.
The "Ahoy" holiday flat is located in the Hookser Perle holiday complex, which was newly built in 2021 and 2022, directly on the inland dike near the horse racing track and the Hooksiel Marina with its numerous sailing yachts. The old harbour with the packing houses as well as the pedestrian zone with its small shops are within walking distance of approx. 800 metres. Directly behind the house is the seawater wave pool, which you can reach on foot in 3 minutes. The outer dike at the North Sea is about 800 metres away on foot. From there, the 3.5 km long beach promenade stretches to the outer harbour. Strandhaus 1 is about 3.5 km away. At the Hooksieler Binnentief (also called Hooksmeer), various activities and water sports are offered, such as water skiing, wakeboarding, stand-up paddling, aqua park and pedal boats. The water sports are also suitable for beginners. At the Hooksiel ski terraces, various events take place throughout the year (e.g. Easter bunny on water skis, various water ski shows in summer, family summer festival, St. Nicholas on water skis, summer BBQs, winter BBQs,...). There is also a forest around the Hooksmeer, which invites you to take a long walk. There is also a skate park in the immediate vicinity.
From the outer harbour of Hooksiel, you can also start various excursions by boat during the summer season. The tours go, for example, to the seal banks, to the Jade-Weser-Port, to the lighthouse, to the naval port of Wilhelmshaven, or with the "MS Fair Lady" from Hooksiel to Helgoland. An adventure trip from the Old Harbour with the Viking ship "Tyrkir" is also always a real highlight, especially for children.
Whether a visit to the shell museum or the Gruseleum, shopping in Jever and Wilhelmshaven, or a tour of the Jade-Weser-Port (the only German deep-water port) - there is a lot to experience and do in and around Hooksiel.
There are numerous restaurants in Hooksiel. In the immediate vicinity of the penthouse "Ahoy" is the restaurant "La Primavera" by Ina and Miro. Here you can enjoy very good steaks, Mediterranean cuisine, dishes from the Balkans and really good pizza. At the outer harbour you will find the fish restaurant "Brücke Hooksiel" with its quaint interior, which offers mainly North Sea-typical fish dishes (with its own smokehouse). If you prefer a good fish roll or baked fish with potato salad, you will also find the iconic fish snack bar "To'n Fischhus" at the Hooksiel outer harbour.
In the centre of the village there are numerous other restaurants, such as "Klostermanns Restaurant zum schwarzen Bären", which has been serving fish and meat dishes in Hooksiel for over 50 years. Also the small and cosy "Fischrestaurant zum Anker" or the historic "Packhaus" are always worth a visit. In addition, there are other restaurants, pizzerias and snack bars in the village centre of Hooksiel.

Beautiful holiday apartment in a prime location.
The apartment is located on the 2nd floor and can be reached by elevator. The house is very well maintained and clean, the apartment is very nicely furnished, everything is new and very clean! We felt very comfortable. There is a large balcony available.
With the bicycles, you can reach the sandy beach and Wadden Sea in a few minutes, as well as a private beach basket that we enjoyed using in the first three days, but was cleared away on the 4th day!
There is a separate shed for the bikes!
We have absolutely no complaints about the overall package!
We would love to come back!!!

A holiday where nothing is missing! As a family with 2 children who love to travel, we put a lot of thought into the furnishings, design and equipment. Top modern and high quality, but not overly luxurious. The flat is very family-friendly, but at the same time well suited for seniors. The flat is barrier-free and easily accessible by lift.
