Loosdrecht!
With its five connected lakes, there is much to experience for water sports enthusiasts of all levels. For an active day on the lakes, the possibilities are endless. Unlike some more protected waters, on the Loosdrechtse Plassen all types of vessels are allowed. It is not difficult to find an address where you can rent a boat to explore the lakes. You can do this with a sailing boat, rowing boat or canoe, but also with a motorised boat (with or without a captain). Take a picnic basket and sail to one of the islands, enjoy the beautiful view over the meadows and the dikes, the stately country houses and the authentic farms. Or moor your boat at one of the many cosy terraces along the shore and enjoy all the goodies the Loosdrecht restaurants have to offer.
There is also plenty to do on land in Loosdrecht. There are beautiful cycling and walking routes available with, how could it be otherwise, breathtaking views over the lakes in many places. And of course, those lovely waterside terraces can also be reached from the land! Bicycles can also be hired from a number of boat rentals. Fishermen can also go here for a day licence. Find a nice spot along the shore and experience how beneficial the serenity here can be.
But Loosdrecht has more to offer than just the water. On the Nieuw-Loosdrechtsedijk lies Sypesteyn Castle. Construction of the castle as we know it today was started in 1901, but the oldest foundations found date from around the year 1500. Both the castle, with its collection of Loosdrecht porcelain and family portraits, and the garden are well worth a visit.

Welcome to our beautiful yard located in Loosdrecht, we (Jasmijn and Roy) are the hostess and host of Huisje Marie. Together with Henk and Trudy (living on the property) we rent out this beautiful cottage. It is very quiet here and you can fully enjoy your well-deserved holiday. We ourselves also live in the yard and are always ready for a chat and to show you the way to the most beautiful places in the area.
