Location and surroundings of object
Baunei, Ogliastra, Sardinia. Close to the port of Arbatax, about 170 km from the port of Olbia or Cagliari. Ditto for airports. The food is excellent, local meat, beer, wine, cheese, sweets, fish. The silence, the scents, the typically Sardinian welcome will enchant you. Even winter will amaze you with its wonderful climate and obviously lower costs. The house is 5 minutes away from Pedra Longa, a wild seaside resort with few tourists. Also within a 5-minute drive, you can visit the Golgo plateau, where you can admire nuragic villages, menhirs, sheepfolds, where the local shepherds still live in symbiosis with nature, cheese, pistoccu (local bread), beer, wine, meat, and sweets are produced by the villagers. For those who love trekking, from the plateau you can reach the coves by the sea, wonderful places like Cala Goloritzè, Cala Luna, Cala sisine. The village is clean, cosy, quiet.
