Location and surroundings of object

Westerholz is located directly on the Baltic Sea, and the beach is easily reachable on foot in about 15 minutes. The small town of Glücksburg can be reached in approximately 20 minutes. Glücksburg lies directly on the Flensburg Fjord and the idyllic Baltic Sea Cycle Route. Forests and lakes surrounding the town invite you to hike and cycle. There are two beautiful beaches: the Sandwig spa beach with its pleasant promenade and restaurants, and the long beach on the Holnis peninsula. Both beaches have a gentle slope and are therefore particularly suitable for families and children. Activities such as stand-up paddleboarding and surfing are offered on site, and beach chairs are also available. During the season, a ferry departs several times a day from Sandwig beach to the port city of Flensburg. There, you'll find a beautiful harbor promenade, museums, cafés, restaurants, and a charming shopping street with small courtyards – perfect for a relaxing stroll.
