Experience a dream vacation in Kenya in Villa Kusini and on an unforgettable safari through the national parks! For over 14 years, we have been renting our holiday home to guests with and without disabilities. Several hundred times, wheelchair users have also spent their dream vacation in Kenya and taken part in a multi-day individually planned safari.
The house was converted to be wheelchair-friendly because Mr. Köbler’s brother was in a wheelchair for over 27 years.
All necessary items, such as two shower wheelchairs, shower stool, suction grab bar, raised toilet seat, soft seat for the toilet, etc., are available in the house free of charge. Wheelchair-accessible safaris in Kenya / Tanzania and day trips on the coast are planned and carried out with a very reliable, German-speaking safari partner on site, taking personal needs into account. Over 20 years of satisfied safari customers speak for themselves.
Even if a caregiver is needed on site, this can also be arranged.
The transfer from Mombasa airport to Villa Kusini is organized. The German property manager Anne has been living at Diani Beach for more than 20 years and is available to guests as a contact person throughout their entire stay.
The 160 sqm villa is located only about 550 meters from the dream beach Diani Beach on the Indian Ocean. The 1,600 sqm, tropically landscaped property with its own pool is situated in an exclusive complex with a total of ten villas.
The pool is approx. 11 x 6 m in size and is cleaned daily. On the ground floor there are two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen. On the upper floor (open gallery not accessible for wheelchair users) there is the possibility to use another double bed (e.g. for companions). When the evening temperatures are pleasant, the living room is the large, inviting terrace with many seating options and a fantastic view of the pool and the beautiful large tropical garden.
Meals are also taken here. The high Makuti roof, together with large gable openings, ensures a pleasant indoor climate without air conditioning. Additional cooling in all bedrooms is provided by ceiling fans.
All beds are equipped with mosquito nets, and a safe for your personal valuables is located in the built-in wardrobe of one bedroom.
The house is furnished with local-style furniture, and you do not have to do without the usual European comforts. In the kitchen, all necessary electrical appliances (stove, toaster, refrigerator with separate freezer compartment, coffee machine, blender, etc.) are available.
Groceries are very inexpensive in Kenya, and everything your heart desires is available. A cook is at the guests' disposal, who also cleans the house. A gardener cleans the pool daily and keeps the garden in order (included in the price!).
Wi-Fi is available free of charge. Furthermore, there is an outbuilding on the property with storage rooms, shower, and toilet for the staff.
After only a few minutes’ walk, you reach the almost deserted, fine sandy palm beach. Clean water and the offshore reef guarantee you a dreamlike bathing experience. For
our guests in wheelchairs, there is access to Diani Beach at a nearby hotel (transfer by minibus can be organized). There, a beach mobile is also available upon prior reservation, and you can fully enjoy the day on a sunbathing lawn under palm trees.
