Location and surroundings of object
Pazin, the capital of central Istria, is only 13 kilometres away from the small village of Kašćerga. The main attraction of this small town is Montecuccoli Castle, which was converted into a museum after the Second World War. Other sights in Pazin include the 13th-century Abbey of St Nicholas and the Franciscan monastery built in the 15th century. Pazin is also known for its large cave Pazinska jama, which served as inspiration for the French writer Jules Verne's novel Mathias Sandorf, which is set in the castle located on the edge of the great abyss of Pazin. The first beaches are around 30 kilometres from Kascerga and are located in the beautiful towns of Porec or Rovinj, where you will also find a wide range of cafés, restaurants and excursion options.
Not far from Kašćerga you can visit the town of Buzet or Motovun. In the surrounding area you will find the Istrian thermal baths and many typical restaurants offering truffle specialities. Kašćerga is located near the river Mirna, an area widely known for its truffles.

Born and raised in beautiful Istria, in 2021 I have decided to restore our old stable that was long left unused. We wanted to preserve as much as possible of the old architecture and beautiful view on the surrounding hills, yet making it modern and comfortable by adding modern furniture and appliances, an outdoor Kitchen with Grill and a salted water swimming Pool that can be heated on request. We wanted a place where Guests could take a break from the fast paced city life, and enjoy the tranquillity and calming nature of a small Istrian village. This is how villa Grazia was born.
