Comfort chalet in quiet hillside location at 1650 m with fantastic mountain panorama (view of the Matterhorn) - - directly on the ski slope to the TOP ski area QUATTRE VALLEES (Thyon 2000, Veysonnaz, Verbier, Nendaz, Mont Fort) - - spring/summer/autumn: hiking, relaxing, mountain biking

We have chosen our chalet to enjoy a pleasant and relaxing holiday in the tranquillity of the Swiss mountains. In winter in an ideal location for skiing and snowboarding, in the rest of the year used for hiking, climbing, mountain biking or just relaxing. Outside our own holiday periods, we are happy to rent it out.

EQUIPMENT
The chalet is comfortably equipped with :
Fireplace, balcony, sun terrace, washing machine, oil central heating, 2 bathrooms as bath/WC and shower/WC.
The kitchen area is equipped with an electric cooker (with oven), fridge/freezer, dishwasher, fondue machine, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, blender and plenty of crockery. With 3 bedrooms (double bed, double bed, large bunk bed) and the open gallery above the living room (with another 2-4 sleeping places), the chalet is well suited for 6-8 (with maximum occupancy even up to 10) persons.

Location and surroundings of object

LOCATION
Ideal for summer and winter: From the balcony and terrace you have a magnificent view of the Matterhorn, Dent Blanche, the Rhone Valley and the highest reservoir in Europe (Lac de Dix).

WINTER
In winter, if the snow conditions are right, you can strap on your skis right outside your front door and be on the slopes of one of the largest ski areas in Switzerland: Quattre Vallees (Thyon-Veysonnaz-Verbier-Nendaz) with over 400 km of pistes. Skiing is possible from November to early/mid May.

SUMMER
In summer, the chalet serves as an ideal starting point for hiking and climbing tours in a charming mountain landscape across alpine meadows, romantic river courses, rugged rocky sections and glacier areas. The chalet is located at an altitude of approx. 1650 metres at the entrance to the Val d'Hérens between Les Masses and Les Collons above Sion (Sitten), the capital of the Valais.

The 950 m2 property is in a quiet location directly on a mountain slope (in winter: ski slope). The chalet's surroundings are characterised by meadows, forests and detached individual chalets. The chalet settlements of Thyon 2000 and Les Collons are ( for shopping, sports and skiing) within easy reach, but not visible from the chalet.

The magnificent view extends far into the Val d'Hérens, to Europe's highest reservoir Lac de Dix in the Val d`Hérémence and as far as the Matterhorn and Dent Blanche.

Sion can be reached directly from Germany via the motorway (approx. 2.5 hours from Basel); it is 18 km from Sion to the chalet. From the car park to the chalet you have to walk about 50 metres on stairs.

Top location

The chalet was just as we (6 people) imagined it: beautiful, functional furnishings in the chalet and breathtaking views of the Matterhorn, Grande-Dixence dam and other impressive mountains in the Valais.
The only downer was the incorrectly described stairs from the car park to the entrance door: instead of approx. 50 metres, it was approx. 90m and approx. 132 steps.

We had a great hiking week in October! Chalet Salomon is in a great location: great view of the mountains, quiet and really in the middle of nature. Extensive equipment, in the kitchen you will find everything you need, including cheese fondue, raquelette, etc.

We had a great stay at Salomon's Chalet in Switzerland. The owner offers a luxurious chalet and kitchen with all the equipment you need to cook and enjoy the view of the Swiss mountains, mountain views from the balcony and sun roof are great and lovely walks into nature.

Dreamy ski hut right in the middle of the ski resort.

In early April, we still had wonderful deep snow and firn descents, even directly to the house - where can you find that? We had a dream vacation! The chalet is perfectly equipped, top kitchen equipment, functionally furnished bedrooms, a cozy living room with an open roof area, indoor and outdoor fireplace, and a panoramic view of the Swiss mountain world. The 4 Vallées ski area offers all levels of difficulty and great snow reliability. The contact with the landlord was quick and uncomplicated, and even our special questions were answered promptly. We particularly liked the "stock" of nice board games for young and old - games that we knew from the past but had lost sight of due to television and computers. Here we played again and had a great time.
