Description
Cascina Curairone is located at an altitude of 630 m and is a traditional Piedmontese farmhouse over 200 years old, which was completely renovated or rebuilt by us in the old style in 2004 and 2010. Part of the house has become our new home, and we would like to make the other part available to our guests. During the renovation work, we made an effort to combine old – 100-year-old doors – and new – photovoltaic system – while still preserving the original character of the house. The spacious holiday apartment (75 m²) for 2 people is located separately on the upper floor of the side wing completed in 2011 and is accessible via a wide external staircase. The large eat-in kitchen, with a dining table for 4 people, is modern and comfortably furnished and features a refrigerator with freezer compartment, electric oven, 4-burner gas stove, coffee maker, toaster, and all essential kitchen utensils (should anything be missing, it can be borrowed from us at any time). In the cozy living area there is an armchair and a comfortable sofa bed. In the spacious bedroom there is a large double bed with nightstands and a 4-door wardrobe. There is also enough space for a travel crib for a small child. The tastefully furnished bathroom is equipped with a large shower, washbasin, toilet, and bidet. All rooms can be heated with central heating. The covered balcony with wooden seating furniture is at your exclusive disposal and provides shade in summer; in winter you can enjoy the warm rays of the sun. Of course, there are other cozy sunny and shady seating and lounging areas for relaxation on the spacious property.
A Finnish wood sauna on the ground floor is available to our guests for a small fee.

Location and surroundings of object
Our house is situated very quietly in a small side valley about 2.5 km outside the village of Bossolasco in the middle of the Alta Langa and is one of three former farms in the Località Curairone. From the garden you have a wide view over the Po Valley to the Western Alps with its all towering Monviso ( m). Beautiful walks through chestnut forests or over the adjacent hills to the neighbouring villages can be taken directly from the house. Enjoy the tranquillity and nature and recover from the stress of everyday life in a deck chair or with the village of Bossolasco, also called "la Perla delle Langhe", you will find two supermarkets, banks, post office, pharmacy, but also two cosy wine taverns, a pizzeria, a bar and several restaurants. Local specialities can be found in the three cheese dairies, at hazelnut producers, at the beekeeper's and in the quite excellent pasticceria. Numerous trattorias in the immediate vicinity will spoil you with culinary delights. The Alta Langa is famous far beyond the local borders for its excellent cuisine, which is crowned by the world-famous wines from the nearby Barolo and Barbaresco growing areas.
In June 2014, the wine landscapes of the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato were officially declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Bossolasco is situated on a ridge of hills at an altitude of 700 m with a magnificent panoramic view of the Alpine arc and, to the other side, the hills of the Belbo Valley. The chain of hills of the Alta Langa separates Liguria from Piedmont and the landscape is very varied and diverse in a very small area. The gentle hills of the vineyards quickly merge into the steeper hills with their river valleys. On foot, by bike, car or motorbike, this beautiful landscape with its castles and palaces, medieval towns and cities, idyllically situated villages will amaze and delight not only nature lovers. But there is also plenty of choice for friends who like to explore cities. Have an aperitivo in Alba, the city of the white truffle, walk under the arcades of Cuneo, the provincial capital, or go to the neighbouring town of Dogliani to do your shopping and then have a "drink" in the piazza. For several years now, the Alba Music Festival has been held in the summer months, with many well-known artists. For sports and culture lovers, Piedmont is worth a trip all year round. In a little more than an hour's drive from Bossolasco, you can reach the large nature parks in the Maritime Alps and the vast hiking areas of the Western Alps (excellent for skiing enthusiasts in winter), and the beautiful beaches of the Ligurian coast invite you to swim. For golfers, numerous courses offer the opportunity to play at different levels. Turin is always worth a visit with its many museums, changing exhibitions and other sights. Genoa, the harbour city with its winding alleys, Milan, the fashion city where you can see what will be "trendy" in the coming year. Or discover Piedmont in your own special way - we are sure you will find what you are looking for.
