You can walk from this house within ten minutes to the boat to Schiermonnikoog where there are nice villages and beautiful sandy beaches. There are also plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling and bird watching in the nearby Lauwersmeer National Park. If you prefer to visit the crowds, then Groningen city or the cozy Dokkum.
