For the price, this place is fantastic! I had everything I needed to work remotely, from a comfy bed to a nice kitchen for cooking up meals. The beautiful surroundings made it a great choice.

In short: poor maintenance, both inside and outside, despite the fact that the cleaner had made everything tidy. The door for the key had to be lifted to get it open (it took a while before we realized this) inside various doors on the ground, in the kitchen several things that were broken, the blinds are falling off, almost not able to look outside due to the poor maintenance of the garden (you really can't sit out here in nice weather, so much moss everywhere, besides not trimming various bushes. As a final blow, the TV also stopped working since yesterday: no signal or poor signal. It turns out the dish is too low and between the trees/branches, so you don't get reception. We returned home today, left before 10 o'clock, so it was a weekend. We would like to receive the rent for a midweek back, this can't be right. The owner must first get to work before you can rent it out again (in the park, the cottage is known as flea cottage, very negative thus).

Our experience in the vacation home was quite satisfying. The house itself was clean and spacious, comfortably accommodating our family of five. The kitchen was well-equipped, making meal preparation easy. We enjoyed visits to nearby attractions, especially the Staatsbosbeheer Appelscha Visitor Center. Although the decor was a bit outdated, it did not detract from our overall enjoyment. A good choice for those looking for a quiet getaway.

The house vas very colder when we got there, it took us 5 hours to heat up. We miss something to wash up the pans and such things with. They were not very clean.could have been a bit better equipped with kitchen tools. The beds are nice! The rocking chairs not the best, a bit difficult to get out of. In the equipment room we found empty beer bottles. One of the outdoor chairs are broken in the back, also some other trash? But otherwise a nice house.

With the window open, only early risers can sleep, as the rooster in the neighboring garden crows at sunrise. You can also hear the bypass road, depending on the wind, more or less rustling. The mention of a lake view in the description is misleading - the lake is 4 km away. For the price (almost 1000.- for 2 people/7 nights), I would have expected a much better-maintained house, but I was glad that we found accommodation at such short notice. The support was friendly.

The smoke smell from the fireplace is very penetrating and only disappeared after the third day.
