Description
The "Treppenhaus" is located in the middle of Germany and offers space for a maximum of 9 people. You can relax on several idyllic seating areas, which sometimes offer sun and sometimes shade. The large, almost park-like garden plot ends directly at the edge of the forest. Long walks or challenging hikes on one of the well-maintained paths, for example on the Habichtswaldstieg or to the Hessenturm, start right at the garden gate.
Cyclists, mountain bikers and e-bikers will find their El Dorado in the premium Habichtswald Nature Park, from active sporty biking to relaxing cycling in the Fulda or Eder meadows.
The Documenta city of Kassel with the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe (a World Heritage Site since 2013) offers a lot for relaxation of body, mind and senses. Of course, you can also go shopping and stroll through cafés and restaurants.

We rent out our exceptional and lovingly renovated architect's house for tourist purposes only and we do not accommodate groups under 25 years of age.
Parties are not permitted and all activities are to be moved indoors after 22.00 hrs.
There are 6 bedrooms (3 double rooms and 3 single rooms), 2 large modern bathrooms with Wc and 2 separate WC's on 2 floors at your disposal. There are washstands in one single and one double room. There is TV in 3 bedrooms. You will find a large well-equipped eat-in kitchen, a large hallway/dining room with a round dining table, and a spacious living room with TV. There is parking space for max. 4 cars directly on the property. A bicycle storage room is also available.

Location and surroundings of object
Our holiday home is actually located in the (mathematical) centre of Germany, on the outskirts of the town of Niedenstein and in the Habichtswald Nature Park. The Documenta city of Kassel with the Hercules, the mountain park and the absolutely worth seeing water games is about 25 km north-east of Niedenstein and is the home of the Brothers Grimm.
The imperial city of Fritzlar with its cathedral and historic old town can be reached in about 20 minutes (16 km). It lies in a southerly direction.
A regional highlight in northern Hesse is certainly Lake Edersee with all its sporting activities and sights such as the Eder Dam. It borders the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park and is about 33 km away in a south-westerly direction.
The home of Sleeping Beauty is the Sababurg with the associated primeval forest and the oldest game park in Europe (since 1571). You will find the park approx. 55 km from your holiday home in a northerly direction.

Excitingly, there has been a land shrimp farm in Niedenstein since 2014. The prawns are sold freshly caught on site.
The "Rote Höhenvieh" cattle are also known far beyond the town's borders. The cattle are raised in year-round free-range conditions and can often be seen on walks. The organic breeding farm markets directly on site.
Eggs, potatoes, pasta, vegetables, meat, fish, honey and much more are available from Monday to Sunday in the self-service shop at the Siegmann farm in Niedenstein.
A bakery, an EDEKA market and a Netto discount store are on site for your shopping.
