Our houseboats can be driven without a licence. The minimum age for steering is 16 years, provided the person is physically, professionally and mentally suitable. The skipper or charterer must be at least 18 years old and must be present on board, as he is liable for the person steering the houseboat. Please note - navigation is prohibited with a blood alcohol level of > 0.50!
You do not need any proven boating experience. After a detailed briefing in theory and practice and a successful test drive, you can drive the boat. Traffic rules, traffic signs and rules of conduct when anchoring and locking are enclosed in the on-board folder. After the briefing you will receive a charter certificate from us. The instruction and handing over of the charter certificate costs € 69.00 once. This fee is waived for a further charter in the calendar year. Recommendation: Download and test the SFB Binnen app.
The boat is handed over with a full tank. The boat is returned with a full tank
When taking over the boat, a deposit of € 500 is to be paid in cash.
Please note: pets are not allowed on board (the owner is allergic to animal hair etc.)
To start with, we recommend the following adventure tour with our Berlin houseboats Fiona and Moritz from the Schmöckwitz marina:
Familiarise yourself with your houseboat, get to know it. Start with a day trip across the Seddinsee and the Müggelspree into the Müggelsee. Enjoy a Berlin fish roll at the Müggelseefischerei and continue to the old town of Köpenick. Then cruise leisurely back to your home port in Berlin-Schmöckwitz via the Dahme. Relax the evening on the houseboat terrace with a chilled drink and plan the further adventure tours with your houseboat.

Our houseboat rental is located in the ideal starting harbour of Berlin - Köpenick, Yachthafen Berlin-Schmöckwitz. Close to the water offers glamping on the water - and you decide yourself where the sunset shines on the terrace and at sunrise the bath in the morning wakes up the soul.
Perfect location on three of Berlin's beautiful lakes.
Tram stop 86 from Köpenick / Grünau on the doorstep , car parking space , supermarket and service on site.
