The apartment is located Bäumer (Kirchstraße 7) - about 10 minutes from the railway station of Borkum Kleinbahn - in the heart of the North Sea island of Borkum. Bakery, butcher, supermarket, pharmacy and bicycle rental is just around the corner. To the main beach is approximately 700 meters. The old town is particularly marked by the old lighthouse and the town hall, in the immediate vicinity are the house and the apartment. Borkum is the westernmost of 36 km and the largest of the seven East Frisian islands ² in the southern North Sea in the National Park Wadden Sea. Small but fine

The vacation apartment offers everything you need to enjoy a week or longer. The apartment is centrally located yet very quiet. We felt very comfortable. A café, restaurants, pharmacies, and a supermarket and bakery are within walking distance. We will definitely come back.

Holiday apartment for two

We felt comfortable in the centrally located vacation apartment with a south-facing balcony. The key handover went smoothly, and we received some good tips for restaurant visits. The kitchen left nothing to be desired, and there were plenty of accommodation options. Bakery, supermarket, shopping street, and beach, everything is reachable within a few minutes on foot.

A little dream

Upon arrival, we were warmly/funnily and deliciously welcomed by Mrs. Wenke (homemade jam and sea buckthorn liqueur). The apartment is designed for two people and lacks nothing. I would like to highlight Mrs. Wenke and the cleanliness of the apartment, which is to be credited to her. The landlords were also easily reachable by email and very nice. The location is great, about 100 m to the large island market and a few minutes' walk to the main beach and the seal island and the beautiful beach huts.

Cozy apartment for 2

We felt very comfortable in this holiday apartment. It is very centrally located and had everything one needs. Regarding the individual categories:

Cleanliness: The apartment was completely clean, there was nothing to criticise.

Accuracy of listing: The description of the apartment exactly matched the apartment, everything was present and the apartment looked exactly like in the pictures. Location: the apartment is quite central, directly opposite the town hall; you can see the line at the bakery from the balcony and then decide whether to get rolls now or wait a bit longer :D Also, the Edeka is basically around the corner, and the beach is not far away either (only a few minutes by bike).

Amenities and comfort: the bed was very cozy and there is plenty of space in it. In the living room, it was the same, but sometimes we missed being able to lie down on the sofa, for example, through a pull-out function or something similar. But that's just a minor detail and not really important. Most of the time, you are more out and about and not really in the apartment.

Communication with the host: It went well, although we didn't have a real reason to contact him during our stay. Price-performance ratio: is perfectly fine, we were satisfied.

Defied the early bloomers

Why January/February on Borkum? Quite simple: To avoid the early blooming trees, birch and alder, and thus to relieve the body of allergens that cause all sorts of nonsense in me during this time.
The furnishings of the holiday apartment are well suited for the stay of two people (who can also have visitors for meals: the dining table is designed for four people). The thoughtful details are noticeable. Several triple socket outlets can be found in a drawer. There are two coffee makers, a kettle, and a 1.6-liter teapot for the constant tea drinker. The additional arm of a floor lamp can be used excellently as a desk lamp. The bedroom and bathroom are small, but nothing is missing.
The location in the village is ideal, the view from the windows is also pleasing.

Arrive, take a deep breath, let go!

An apartment also for rainy days.
The best thing is, actually, the central location and also the short walk to the beach. It's only a few steps to the pharmacy, grocery store, restaurants, and the boutique next door.
The apartment is cozy, well-equipped, easy to maintain. The kitchen is well thought out, stocked with everything that belongs, very well organized and very clean. The bedroom is equipped with a double bed and a well-maintained high-quality mattress.
From the balcony, you have a clear view of the surroundings and it invites you to have breakfast. All in all, a bright and pleasant apartment!

Always happy to do it again!

In September 2023, we were guests at the Bäumer holiday apartment once again. The apartment is centrally located next to the town hall in the town center, clean, and well-equipped. From the balcony, one has a good view of the activities around the town hall and pedestrian zone. The new lighthouse is also visible. It takes about 5 minutes by bike, which can be safely stored in the basement, to get to the beach. We can recommend the apartment and have already booked it for 2024.
