Description
The old natural stone house has been lovingly renovated by us while maintaining the exterior aspect. The secluded location at the end of a road guarantees a quiet stay in an idyllic setting, with wide views of the Alta Langha.
The house was built on a saddle in a side valley of the Belbo and is sunny all day. The surrounding area is characterised by forest with interspersed vineyards. We have also placed special emphasis on the design of the garden, which invites you to linger with numerous rose, lavender and rosemary bushes as well as other flowering plants, a large pergola and a secluded panoramic terrace.
A pond, which was created by us according to ecological criteria, offers the opportunity to swim in addition to the many opportunities for observation.
You enter the Cantina flat at ground level on the front side of the house below the covered terrace of the Bellavista flat.
You enter a very spacious living and kitchen area with a sofa corner, a large dining area and the kitchen, which is very functionally separated from the dining area by a counter.
To the southwest, you enter through a large door window element onto the terrace shaded by wisteria.
Cantina has only one bedroom, but a sofa in the sofa corner, which can be converted into a sofa bed, offers one or two additional sleeping places (140 x 200).
The bathroom faces the back of the house.
Hot water is provided by solar panels, and a gas boiler takes over when the sun is not shining.
In cooler weather you can use a wood-burning stove, the firewood is available.
The nearest shopping facilities are in Manera, a district of Benevello (2.5 km). Here you will find a very good bakery, butcher's shop and an alimentari.
In about a quarter of an hour you can reach Alba with its lively medieval old town. In autumn (October), the famous truffle fair with numerous culinary offers takes place here.
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays are market day in Alba, and on Saturdays the entire pedestrian area is bustling with stalls.
The Langha is ideal for long hikes with beautiful views; hiking guides are available in the house. Cyclists are attracted by the landscape with challenging routes.
Beautiful towns in the surrounding area are waiting to be discovered, such as Saluzzo, Cuneo, Ceva, Mondovi or Asti. From Alba there are hourly direct train connections to Turin with its baroque city centre, the largest in Europe, and important museums.
The world-famous wine-growing areas of Barolo and Barbaresco are in the immediate vicinity, and a visit to such picturesque villages as Monforte, Cherasco, La Morra or Neive is well worthwhile.
Valuable tips, also for wine lovers, are provided by Signora Manzone, who will look after you in perfect German.

An oasis of relaxation
Beautiful accommodation, you feel immediately comfortable and at home upon arrival. A lovingly designed garden with herbs, grapes, and vegetables. We had wonderful, relaxing days.

Relaxing days in a beautiful location
We had the smaller of the two rental holiday apartments for two and were absolutely thrilled. The apartment (Cantina) is beautifully furnished, fully equipped, and absolutely clean. The two landlords had left us a bottle of wine as a welcome gift, and we were also very pleased with the basic supplies of spices, vinegar, oil, dish soap, and toilet paper. The landlords (non-rentable unit) were also on-site with their family (larger vacation apartment), so the whole house was occupied. However, that was not a problem, as each unit has its own terrace and otherwise the large garden with many small niches offers enough opportunities to enjoy peace and quiet undisturbed.
Rainer and Kerstin, the two landlords, are exceptionally charming and gave us tips for excursions, restaurants, etc. They understood how to achieve a healthy balance between being there for you and letting you enjoy your peace.
The natural pond is also very beautiful, and we enjoyed swimming a few laps there for refreshment after our hikes.
All in all, really recommended for people who love nature, enjoy hiking, and want to take trips to the nearby villages or cities like Alba, Asti, or Cuneo. For your wonderful hospitality, dear Kerstin and dear Rainer, thank you once again. We really felt very comfortable in your little Piedmont paradise!

A paradise in the Alta Langa.
Lovingly restored house in the midst of beautiful nature. Large garden, swimming pond, quiet seats. Wonderful for relaxing, recharging energy, hiking. Ideal starting point for trips to Alba, the Roero and the Langhe. Very well equipped apartment, restored with great attention to detail.
