Description
Our holiday home Hygge is located in Karlsminde, about 8 km north of Eckernförde. The beach is about 600 m away, shopping facilities are about 350 m away. The house has 2 shower bathrooms, 2 bedrooms with double beds, 1 large living room with fireplace and modern kitchenette. It is spread over 2 floors, on the upper floor there is a cosy sauna.
The living area has floor-to-ceiling windows that provide brightness. All living rooms and bedrooms have electric shutters, and pleated blinds are also fitted to all windows. The bedrooms each have a large wardrobe and a chest of drawers, so all clothes can be easily stored. A mini-safe is also available.
The comfortable seating in the living area invites you to linger in front of the fireplace. The large sofa bed can sleep 2 more people under certain circumstances. The adjoining eat-in kitchen and dining area make cooking and eating together an experience. The bathrooms have enough space and are both equipped with a ground-level shower. There is a washing machine and dryer in the upstairs bathroom. Underfloor heating provides cosy warmth in the bathrooms and living area. The entrance area with wardrobe and a small storage room complete the house. Of course, all living rooms and bedrooms have satellite TV / smart TV, free Wi-Fi is available. Outside, the large terrace (30 sqm) in south-west position stands out. The furniture for 6 people also includes 2 sun loungers and a beach chair. The cosy evenings are extended considerably by the (partial) roofing of the terrace and offer the possibility to sit outside even on less beautiful days. There is plenty of space for 2 cars in the spacious driveway, and a charging station (wallbox) for our guests' electric cars is also available. Karlsminde is located at the southern tip of the municipality of Waabs, directly on the Eckernförde Bay. Kappeln is about 28 km north of us, Eckernförde is only about 8 km away to the south. Our house is located in a small, quiet holiday home settlement about 600 m from the Baltic Sea beach. A few minutes' walk from the house you will find a snack bar, a restaurant and a small grocery shop with fresh baked goods (open from April to October).

The coastline of Eckernförde Bay consists almost entirely of beaches where bathing is usually allowed (often even guarded), but also of lonely cliffs that are worth a long walk. In the gently rolling countryside, cycling tours are recommended with many sights along the way. The Baltic Sea Coast Cycle Route runs along the Baltic Sea coast of Schwansen. The long beaches on the Baltic Sea invite you to swim, surf, kite, stand-up paddle, sail, go horseback riding and much more.
The shore of the Schlei, with its bays, ponds and forests, offers those seeking peace and quiet long hours of leisure, but is also a popular sailing and fishing area.
The major towns in Schwansen are Eckernförde in the south and Kappeln in the north. In addition to their beautiful location and special charm, both towns offer good shopping facilities and many sights, restaurants and excursion destinations. Flensburg, Rendsburg, Schleswig, Kiel, Lübeck or Hamburg are not far away for a day trip.
The region offers a lot of variety and possibilities, whether for relaxing, for sporting activities, to marvel at the sights or just to have fun.

A really very modern furnished holiday domicile
A really beautiful and lovingly furnished modern house. Everything is available that you need for your holiday everyday life.
The proximity to the Baltic Sea bay, the quiet natural beach, and the location of the house are ideal as a starting point for cycling tours.
