Our holiday house accommodates 2 people. Available are 1 bedroom with a double bed, the living room is furnished with a three-seater sofa and an armchair. An open kitchen adds to the coziness, the dining room with a dining table and four chairs is right next to the kitchen. All necessary appliances are available. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and toilet. There is an additional toilet on the upper floor. From the hallway, a well-accessible space-saving staircase (wide tread) leads upstairs to the large bedroom. The holiday home includes a terrace with privacy and sun protection. Garden furniture and a grill ensure pleasant hours in the summer. The holiday home is available for rent and heated all year round. Bicycles brought along can be securely stored in the solidly built storage room.

The holiday home is centrally located in the village
in a quiet area and everything can be reached in a few minutes.
Sufficient maps and images for possible travel destinations are available in the holiday home. From the holiday home, you have a wonderful view of the castle and the adjacent Lenné Park. The park can be explored on your own or on a guided tour with a visit to the castle. There is a megalithic tomb in the park. In Basedow, almost the entire castle complex is preserved. For example, the "Old Smithy" houses a café, which is lovingly decorated with historical mementos and invites visitors to linger. In the center of the village, there traditionally lies the village pond, which was extensively renovated in 2014 and incorporated into the castle area. A large rose garden was created, delighting us with its splendor throughout the summer. Adjacent to the castle, in the former manor building, a "Farmer Steakhouse" has been established where one can dine very well for lunch or dinner.
In 2015, a new "Café at the Castle" was opened. In the Old Sheepfold, there is another "Café" with a farmers' market.
The church houses the oldest organ in Mecklenburg.
For those who want to engage in sports, there is a volleyball court and a tennis court. The beach and the snack bar "Radler Eck" at Malchiner See, 3 km away, is a lovely destination for an excursion.

In the neighboring town of Gessin (1.5 km) from Basedow, there is a natural food store with a café. (very comfortably furnished) It has the charm of an old-fashioned local store. Here one can enjoy cakes, pies, and the like in peace and comfort.
Next to it is the chapel, which was built around 1400, it is the oldest church in Mecklenburg.
The lookout tower in Basedow is an experience, offering a panoramic view of the Mecklenburg Switzerland.

Beautiful clean accommodation, absolutely quiet location.
We spent two weeks in this beautiful holiday home and were very satisfied. The facilities provide everything you need. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils, there is a television and a radio. It is very clean and tidy, and the host family is super, super nice. The location is extremely quiet and the little town of Basedow is very interesting. For older people, the stairs might be difficult. If you want to have an active holiday, for example. Cycling, hiking, swimming - this place is perfect.

Cozy and quiet vacation home
We spent a very lovely week here.
The house has everything you need, is very cozy and clean. The landlords are friendly and helpful.
The small garden with the lovely seating area invites you to relax.
It is an ideal starting point for cycling tours.
We would love to come back.

My husband, my daughter, and I spent a wonderful holiday week from April 23 to April 30, 2016, at the holiday home Sylvia in Basedow.
The price-performance ratio is TOP!!!
The service is exceptional, as you get almost everything your heart desires.
We really liked Basedow, especially the castle. The weather was also great. Both in the cozy living room and in the bedroom on the upper floor of the holiday home, we were able to relax and recover very well. The surroundings are quiet, which we enjoyed very much. The furnishings are comfortable yet cozy (for feeling at home). The kitchen is very well equipped (dishwasher, microwave, all kitchen appliances, etc.). We liked it so much that it was definitely not the last time we spent our vacation in the vacation home Sylvia. We will gladly come back.

Relaxation, recreation, stimulation
In the summer of 2015, we spent two weeks in the holiday home Sylvia. We really enjoyed our time there. What impressed us the most was the expansive castle park, which can already be seen from the attic of the house. Here, we found excellent peace and space for numerous activities and nature observations. The Cerowsky family always advised and cared for us well, unobtrusively and with wit and charm. We liked the upper floor of the house the most. The beds are the most comfortable we've ever experienced on a vacation. The room has beautiful light, in the morning and in the evening. The equipment is very good; we found everything we needed and more. It is very clean and well-maintained.
We were able to explore the immediate surroundings well on foot and by bike. There was a lot to discover and experience, and we found several "favorite spots." The concert with Julia Fischer in the Ulrichshusen concert barn was the most beautiful for us, for which we even got spontaneous tickets.
We thank you for the lovely time we were able to experience here.

Very nice holiday cottage and nice landlady.
We had a wonderful family vacation in Basedow. The holiday home was very well equipped (especially the kitchen, almost better than at home). The living room was cozy, and we also enjoyed using the small seating area behind the house. The location is very quiet. There is a swimming lake in the village that we were able to visit almost daily. We would come back again and can recommend the holiday home without any reservations!
