Description
You feel like you're in Bullerbü when you get out of the car and see the three red houses on the 6000sqm open plot. Boat shed with 2 canoes, life jackets, rowing boat, etc., campfire site, barbecue, volleyball court, swings and monster cave make you want to go on an adventure. The main house has a slightly nostalgic atmosphere due to the partly antique furniture. The kitchen was totally renovated in May 2022
There is Wi-Fi in the main house upstairs.
The outbuildings are more IKEA-furnished and practical, in the Starholk there is a triple room, a double room and a kitchen-living room. Families with friends, multi-generational holidaymakers or church groups will find space to retreat, to rest their spirit, soul and body.
The very small house (10 sqm plus pointed gable) offers its own terrace, lounge, 3 sleeping places and a toilet. It is built over the former earth cellar, which is now decorated as a monster cave with animal bone finds from the area for children's fun.
A large terrace invites you to have breakfast in the sun, in the evening you can sit on the small front terrace and watch the sunset, during the day there are plenty of places to put the existing garden loungers.

Location and surroundings of object
Our cottage area is very quietly situated between Halmstad and Ljungby, tranquilly in a forest and meadow landscape with a river meandering through it. One bathing and fishing spot is at the 'small' lake, approx. 350m away, another at the 'big' lake (approx. 800m away). There is also our rowing boat, which can be carried into the lake with fenders by strong adults.
Two other holiday houses are nearby, but are not permanently inhabited. In the yellow house 300m away lives a very nice and helpful Englishman.
Two lakes are within walking distance, the sea with the wonderful beach of Tylösand is only half an hour away by car. Larger lakes also beckon nearby, the Bolmen. Discover the slowness, find mushrooms, berries, flowers, moose! And enjoy the time under white clouds in the picture-book sky! Our estate is about 2.5 km from the centre of the village. Apart from a beautiful church, there is nothing worth seeing there. However, there is a wonderful hiking trail (Naturstig) around the village. The Skärseryd farm café with organic products is about 5 km away and is a great place to stop for a bite to eat
It is precisely the absence of attractions that makes for the recreation factor.
The nearest shop is in Lidhult, 12 km away. There you can get wonderful cakes or breakfast at a good price in the adjacent café, and free Wi-Fi on top of that. Large supermarkets and shopping centres are in Ljungby or Halmstad. Ljungby is a charming little town with a fairytale museum, and Halmstad is well worth a visit with its location on the Nissan, parks and a great market square. You should definitely eat an ice cream there! mmmhhh!

It is a farmhouse, about 200 years old, which we have renovated with great love. The room height in all rooms on the lower floor of the main house is about 2 metres, in the other houses 2.20 metres. The sanitary facilities are functional.
Smokers must smoke outside the house.

Very special
We were in the family circle in Sniglhus and had a fantastic time... eating and cooking together, fishing, rowing on the lake, collecting mushrooms, playing, lazing in the sun... everything you forget in everyday life ☺️
Thank you for the lovely time in this charming house with a magical surroundings.

relaxed family holiday close to nature
We were already looking forward to this holiday in advance during the good organisation with Mrs Berg (landlady). The presentation on the internet led us to expect an old Swedish farmhouse with outbuildings in a very quiet area. We were not disappointed. Some rooms are (still) in need of renovation, but that didn't bother us, because you notice that the landlords have already lovingly done that in other rooms, preserving the charm of the houses. The equipment is practical for the area with forest and lakes (canoes, life jackets, fireplace, volleyball court, games for children, books, barbecue, larder, fridge-freezer, enough rooms (most of them seem small, but that makes them cosy) - just a farmhouse with history. We made great use of the proximity to the wonderful North Sea beaches (approx. 40 min drive). Shopping facilities are 15-30 minutes away. You need a car for most excursions, but bicycle tours through the forest and to lakes are a must. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

Pure relaxation and recovery
What a great time, the landscape is incredibly beautiful and there are various activity options available. Beach, walks in the forest or a trip to the city...everything is within a short driving distance or even walking distance. The house offers everything that is necessary...a great place to relax and unwind, thank you.

Snail house
I liked the beautiful location of the houses in the middle of nature. The furnishings create a cozy atmosphere. We were able to sit outside, eat, and sunbathe in the best weather. In the rooms, you can find peace and tranquility. Everything necessary for a healing vacation in nature is available.

Gruppenaufenthalt
Eine idylische Lage abgelegen von den Lauten und Lärmen des Alltags. Durch die Anordnung der drei Häuser bietet es eine perfekte Geborgenheit mit der Einheit der Natur. Die Häuser sind liebevoll eingerichtet und bieten viel Platz zum Verweilen. Eine kleine Bücherei ist vor Ort. Es ist alles da , was man zum Geniesen braucht. Der Aufenthalt ist Wohltat für die Seele.

Pippi Langstrumpf grüßt
Inmitten von Wiesen liegt Snigellhus. Liebevoll, nostalgisch eingerichtet. Zwei Seen fußläufig in der Nähe, ebenso der Naturstig.
Wir hatten eine herrliche Zeit dort und habe die Ruhe und die Natur genossen. Ein besonderes Erlebnis war das Mittsommerfest in Vro.
Wir kommen gerne einmal wieder.

Entspannung pur
Wir haben das Hausensemble mit einer Gruppe von 15 Personen (Erwachsene und Kinder) bewohnt und wundervolle Ferien verbracht. Mann ist in Mitten der Natur und sieht im Morgengrauen Rehe oder sogar Elche. Absolute Idylle. Badeseen sind in unmittelbarer Nähe zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Hierzu hat sicherlich auch der sehr hilfsbereite und zuverlässiger Vermieter mit beigetragen, der bei Problemen sofort reagiert. Wir können das charmante Hausensemble nur weiterempfehlen.

Schweden wie in Bullerbü
Der wunderschöne Ferienhof liegt inmitten der herrlichen Natur Smålands und eignet sich hervorragend für Urlaub mit Freunden, große Familien oder Gruppenfahrten. Wer das einfache Leben, Aktivitäten in der Natur und die Ruhe des schwedischen Landlebens liebt, kommt hier voll auf seine Kosten und kann unvergessliche Ferientage erleben!
Wenn es doch mal etwas mehr "Trubel" sein darf: Halmstad und das Meer sind auch nicht weit. Auch viele andere lohnende Ausflugsziele sind in der Umgebung zu finden.
Das Snigelhus ist ein liebevoll nostalgisch eingerichtetes Schmuckstück, in dem es einem ganz schnell heimelig zumute ist. Zum Haus gehört ein Lagerfeuerplatz für zünftige Abende, ein Ruderboot an einem fußläufig schnell erreichbaren See und Kanus am nahen Fluß.
Auf dem wildromantischen Naturstig kommen Wanderer mit und ohne Hund voll auf ihre Kosten. Zwei Seen laden zum baden und angeln ein.
Die Anlage ist für Reisende mit gut erzogenen Hunden ideal.
Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Urlaub im Snigelhus!

Snigelhus and Starholk as well as the little Villa Kunterbunt are a piece of Bullerbü for us, just like in the stories by Astrid Lindgren. A paradise for children. We like to embellish and have preserved the charm of the old house. In our main job we are socially engaged.
