Description
Our vacation apartment "Alpenkrähe" in the attic of the vacation house "Ludwig" and is particularly characterized by its excellent location: The local historical "Ludwigstraße" is a real gem in the Werdenfelser Land. Numerous restaurants and decorated house facades ("Lüftlmalerei") present the diversity and tradition of this part of town. Only a few minutes away from the apartment, you will find the traffic-calmed zone with many small stores and cafes.
116 sqm of living space on the 4th floor offer enough room for up to 7 people. Whether a family trip or just a few days of relaxation with friends - this apartment is perfect! The attic was newly converted in 2018 and impresses with an open roof truss.
The spacious living and dining area inspires with its modern glass front. The bright and friendly living atmosphere ensures absolute relaxation from the first minute of vacation! The living room can be divided into two areas: On the left side of the room is a fitted kitchen, which is equipped with all necessary kitchen utensils. An oven, ceramic hob and of course a refrigerator are ready for your stay. The dining table with benches offers enough space to spend a convivial evening with good food in your nice vacation round. If you prefer it more comfortable, you can sit on the adjacent seating area with sofa and two comfortable chairs. Here is also a TV set, which brings variety especially on rainy days. The right part of the large living room offers a sleeping possibility for one person in a small alcove. There is also an additional bed that can be used as a comfortable seat during the day.
Of course, the apartment also has bedrooms: one of them is equipped with a double bed and a single bed. The special window design ensures comfort in this room as well: in addition to the skylights, small light shafts have been installed, which allow a view to the outside. A closet provides enough storage space for your vacation closet. In the second bedroom there is room for two more people, this has a chest of drawers. Further storage space can be found in the hallway, where a spacious wardrobe with cupboard has been planned.
Wellness feeling comes up in the bathroom: The freestanding bathtub under the large skylight lets your gaze wander relaxed into the sky. Here you immediately find peace and can end a beautiful vacation day in the evening with a view of the stars. Of course, you are also welcome to opt for the spacious shower. Likewise, the bathroom has a toilet. A separate toilet with sink can be found right next door.
You can enjoy a wonderful and quiet view from the balcony of the apartment "Alpenkrähe". The large trees in the backyard as well as the mountain panorama round off a beautiful stay in our apartment. Since the balcony is covered, you can sit outside relaxed even on changeable days.
For your stay there is a free parking space in the courtyard, pets are welcome in our house. For storage of your skis and bicycles, a communal cellar is available. You will also find a washing machine and a dryer here.

A lovely spacious apartment with good facilities. The perfect place to unwind. On the top floor so must not mind stairs, but this means you are rewarded with fantastic views across to the top of the ski jump and a mountain backdrop.

Very cozy apartment with a great view of the GAP ski jump and Alpspitze, possible due to the top floor. Well and comfortably furnished, the kitchen leaves nothing to be desired. Would love to come back and thank you for the excellent support.

We were five people for a week over the new year in the vacation apartment "Haus Ludwig Alpenkrähe" (see https://www.ferienwohnungen-garmischpartenkirchen.de/Bayern/Zugspitz.Region/Garmisch-Partenkirchen/Alpenkraehe) in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Location (5 stars): The apartment is in a very central location to the historic Ludwigstraße in Partenkirchen and within walking distance to the pedestrian zone in Garmisch. There is a parking space available behind the house. Service (5 stars): The service from the booking process, a guest app, the email information before arrival, and the digital transmission of the guest cards (Garmisch-Card) is excellent. The staff in the office during the key handover were very friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. It is particularly noteworthy that the heating and hot water failed on December 31. We directly reached the rental service through an emergency number, which promptly contacted the owner to arrange for a handyman (notably within a few hours on December 31), so the problem was resolved immediately. Top!!! Apartment/Facilities (4.5 stars): It should be said upfront that the minor criticisms do not outweigh the positive aspects of the vacation rental. The apartment is located in the top floor and is very modern and lovingly furnished, so we felt at home right away. The apartment was clean, cozy, and well-equipped. The living and dining area invites you to cook and linger together. The view from the balcony of the mountains and the ski jump is wonderful. However, the sleeping areas of the apartment are quite noisy. The two bedrooms are directly adjacent to each other. The wall in between seems to have been installed later and is unfortunately not completely airtight, so in the evening, light shimmered through small cracks in the wall. However, this circumstance did not particularly bother us. The bathrooms are very modern, and the bathtub is definitely a highlight. A few hooks to hang the towels would have been missed in both bathrooms. The kitchen is equipped with everything necessary; however, the knives, which were all dull, could be sharpened or replaced. As a result, we would rent an apartment through Mahr's vacation rental service again.
