We have come to know many vacation homes in Egmond aan Zee by now. Ben and Monique's vacation home has by far the best and highest-quality furnishings. The large passage to the terrace is great and creates a wonderful atmosphere. The location is perfect: central, close to the beach, and yet quite quiet on the edge of the dunes. The cleanliness in the house is impeccable and the De Lange family is very attentive and absolutely friendly. This was our third stay with the De Lange family, and we will gladly stay here again.

Relaxing vacation

Dear de Lange family,

We had a great time at your place. We felt at home right away. The summer house is well equipped with everything you need. It is very clean and cozy with a terrace. The town of Egmond aan Zee is beautiful. It's very peaceful, and you can easily walk to the small town. The beach is wonderful. We spent many walks on the beach or in the dunes. If you just want to switch off and escape the big city chaos, this is the right place. In the small town, you will find numerous shops as well as a grocery store where you can get everything you need. I highly recommend the restaurant Rosaria's - they have the best pizza. ;)

We will gladly come back.

Relaxing vacation

Hello De Lange family,
we wanted to leave a review as well. We have been coming to Egmond aan Zee for many years and are quite familiar with the area. Of course, we have rented many summer houses during this time, but this time we were very, very satisfied. We had lovely landlords, a beautiful, tasteful, and clean house. We know that when we come back to Egmond, we will book with the De Lange family, provided it is available. Because one can only further recommend this house and the de Langes. Very beautiful and cozy summer house!

We have been renting this summer house for several years now and feel very comfortable there! It is very clean and tidy, quiet and cozy! You can reach the beach and the town within a few minutes on foot. The landlords are very nice and friendly. Overall, a good value for money. The only small downside, which many houses in the Netherlands have: the steep stairs to the upper floor (but you quickly get used to it). We have already booked for 2016!

The accommodation is simply top!!

We have been to Egmond aan Zee several times, but this is the most beautiful vacation rental we have ever had. The apartment is super clean and very well maintained. Cozy, modern, and tastefully furnished. We really liked it. The apartment is centrally located, less than a five-minute walk to the center and the beach. We were very enthusiastic and would book this apartment again anytime. Simply top!!!

Unfortunately very disappointing

This fall, we spent a week (2 adults, 2 teens, and 1 dog) in this summer house. We have been going to Egmond for years, know the small houses, but this time we were really disappointed, and mostly agree with Lilalu's opinion. Especially the "bathroom" is far too tiny, terrace with a wooden enclosure without sun, 2 beds only to sleep in reverse direction, very steep stairs (not suitable for small children and older people)... Poor value for money. For this house, we paid the most so far and it was the worst cut and described. Very unfortunate; however, we would gladly come back to Egmond aan Zee. Very clean and reasonably well-equipped, beds are comfortable.

Clean and stylish

Very nice summer house in North Holland. We felt very comfortable. The facilities are very good for a Dutch holiday home. The accommodation is simply fantastic! The apartment is cozy, tastefully decorated, and CLEAN! In addition, the location is great: the beach as well as numerous shops, restaurants, and bars are within walking distance. It was our first time in Egmond aan Zee, and we loved it. The vacation rental is great and the landlords are incredibly nice and helpful with all questions.

The apartment can only be rated with 5 stars because you immediately feel comfortable. Nothing was missing, and it was very clean. Brand new kitchen with dishwasher - fully equipped! Ben and Monique, we will come back! Petra, Joachim, and kids.

Not recommended!

The pictures are deceiving! And we fell for it too! The "house" is completely unsuitable for 4 people: There were two of us there and we had to balance and coordinate every move so that we wouldn't constantly get in each other's way, that's how small this accommodation is. Unthinkable for families with children and dangerous because of the tightness and the steep ladder and the unusable beds! The toilet is right next to the kitchen, the shower is barely accessible as it is extremely narrow. When showering, the entire place gets flooded because the water flows underneath the door into the kitchen. When using the toilet, you stand with your feet in the shower – not ideal if the shower is still wet. Only the living-dining area is acceptable, but in terms of the view of the next house opposite, which is only 3 meters from the living room window, it is rather bleak. The "Terrace" offers idyllic backyard romance with corrugated iron and barracks wood, while also getting all the conversations of the neighbors nearby up close and loud(!). The kitchenette is basically well-equipped, but you can hardly stand in it because from there the chicken ladder goes up to the gable, and there the real hammer awaits: a more or less poorly converted roof, a mini sink without towel holder or other storage options for bathing utensils, and a wobbly cupboard stand uninspired around - not to forget, another "bed", in which nobody can lie without hitting their head. The "bedroom" behind it is an absolute joke: the beds are completely worn out and creak apart every time you lay down, also you constantly bump your head and can't stand upright. The "wardrobes" are completely unacceptable for normally grown people, and there's another bed here, but it's just as unusable as the other one (risk of head injury!!!). The chicken ladder is life-threatening for children, and the apartment is also a danger for older people. When walking normally upstairs, the person sitting downstairs in the living room feels like the ceiling is about to collapse, everything clatters and shakes. After 3 days, we left completely frustrated and will never come back - even though we are avid fans of Holland and have often vacationed there. But this holiday home is a disgrace! When it rains outside and the clothing is wet, there is no place to dry - the whole place gets clammy and damp. Overall, the whole house is bleak, and the area where it is located is awful. An accommodation that is in no way recommendable! We had booked for 14 days and left after 3 days. You cannot spend a vacation there, it is pure stress!

Vicinity of the holiday home: Ganz schlimme Umgebung! Schrappige, heruntergekommene, wenig gepflegte Wohngegend, scheußliche, alte Reihenhäuser, die nur durch enge, schattige, lichtlose Gassen getrennt voneinander sind. Trostlos!

free time activities: Die Umgebung bietet viel - Radeln, Strandbaden, Wandern, Städtetouren...

shopping facilities: Okay.
