Small, cozy, close to the beach

Well-appointed small holiday cottage in the middle of Egmond, 5 minutes on foot from the main beach. There are several dune pathways nearby, and you can quickly reach the bakery and supermarket by bike.
Well-equipped kitchen, nice dining area, comfortable seating in the living area, Wi-Fi, good mattresses in the beds…
Everything was good, we can definitely recommend the house.
The waste disposal is unusual, as it occurs at a collection point a bit away from the house. But this applies to all houses and apartments in this residential area.

Autumn vacation

We are back in this house after over 4 years, maybe not much has changed, but... it lacks nothing here! The family is really nice and uncomplicated! The location is perfect, you can quickly get anywhere! Big dogs are also welcome here and he can easily run onto the small enclosed terrace without any problems! We really like it here! We will come back :) Thank you :)

We felt comfortable

We were in Egmond for the first time and spent a week here. The Boelkes family's cottage is cosy and super clean. It is fully equipped and there are two separate bedrooms.beach,dunes and centre are within walking distance. We were especially grateful for our landlord's tip to go to Amsterdam by train. There was a big bouquet of flowers on the table as a welcome. We would definitely like to come back.

Small but nice

Found the house/apartment to be completely sufficient for a 14-day beach vacation. Everything you need was available. Just don't expect mega luxury or a 5-star hotel! Landlord very friendly and the price-performance ratio is also right! Had a lovely 14-day holiday in Egmond aan Zee!

Holiday home with Dutch charm

The holiday home is simple, but clean and cozy. The staircase is very steep. Unfortunately, there was no stereo system, and towels would have been nice as well. The terraced house is very centrally located. You can quickly reach the beautiful beach, the town center, or the huge, walkable dune reserve with wild horses on foot. Amsterdam is 50 km away, and Alkmaar with its cheese market is only 9 km away. There is no mention of aircraft noise. Barking dogs from the neighboring holiday apartment were heard more often than planes. Thank you, we will come back.

Boelkes Holiday Home - Airport Flight Path

The holiday home is clean and very basic. The landlord is friendly and uncomplicated. Upon arrival, there was a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Egmond aan Zee is in the flight path, so low-flying aircraft pass by in bursts every minute. The beach is very beautiful and nearby. In summer, it can get very crowded, but those who go off the beaten path can find natural tranquility with few people. Regarding the property: Ground floor: Everything is available in the kitchen (toaster, etc.). Oven is missing. Dishwasher would be ideal, saves washing up by hand after each meal as few plates available. 3/4 of plates are chipped or corners broken. Toilet on ground floor okay, but small. First floor: 2 bedrooms with creaky beds and cupboards without shelves. Shower cabin and sink on the first floor stand-alone, directly in front of bedrooms. Steep stairs to the first floor. Takes some getting used to. Terrace: Space for bikes, table, and chairs. Front view is a wooden wall, left and right walls. Very dreary. Sunshade (we used a bicycle tarp) and stereo system (with CD player) were not available. Since the weather was good and we could go on many excursions, the accommodation was acceptable. All in all, it can still be recommended.

With my two children (12 and 15 years old), I had a very nice holiday there. We were warmly welcomed by the landlords with a bouquet of flowers. The living room is very cozy and modern (even with a flat-screen TV). The kitchen is well equipped. However, a toaster and an oven are missing. The steep stairs leading up are something to get used to. But after going up and down a few times, it gets easier. The sleeping accommodations upstairs are sufficient in terms of space. The beds are comfortable as well. The shower and washbasin are also located on the floor. There is enough space there as well. The toilet is separate downstairs. Very well resolved. The house is also very clean. The terrace is sufficiently large. The beach and shopping facilities are close by. All in all, we spent a nice and relaxing week there. The landlords are super nice. Price-performance ratio is great. I can only recommend it.

The holiday home is very cozy and clean. The equipment is okay, not luxurious, but the accommodation is very affordable, and there is definitely enough space for two or three people. The steep stairs to the upper rooms are somewhat uncomfortable but typical for Dutch houses. We felt very comfortable there for a week. It is very quick to get to the center and the beach. The landlord is uncomplicated.
